:sigh: I remember docking at Havensight on Freedom. Of course, that was back on June 1, 2016. :sigh:

That was the only time we ever got to dock there. Every other time was Crown Bay. We had an awesome time on that cruise. The Crown Bay vs Havensight discussion brought back some wonderful memories.

I remember docking at Charlotte Amalie (Havensight Pier) in the "old days" when 5 ships would be docked, sometimes 2 at anchor and 1 at the what used to be called the sub base (Crown Bay)  Those were the days! I was on Amerikanis when I took this pic of the burnt out Angelina Lauro in 1979. Will be on Allure on the 31st. ~ Mick

  2. Yes.  Multitude of questions. Wooden vendor stalls 50% cooking with open flames and no fire extinguishers!  The vendor apparently was not even licensed to be there.  So where were the City inspectors, its a 30ft long booth and no one noticed it?

very lucky the gas tank did not explode.  We saw at least 5 fire trucks driving round in circles trying to find a way in past the solid security barriers.

  3. If you travel a lot for USA residents it might be worth changing your cell plan to t-mobile or Google Fi. Both have free data in most foreign countries (not on ship!) and .20 cent minute calls to the USA. T-mobile slows the data speed but it’s good enough for email, browsing and maps. Fi you get similar speeds as at home. I’ve been using Fi for a couple of years and it’s great.
