We booked through Shore Excursioneer. It was around $120 and that included the zipline, bobsled and transportation.

We were just at Mystic Mountain last week. We did the bobsled and ziplining. We had a great time. The guides we had were so fun. They had everyone in the group laughing. The lines are all somewhat different. The first one is quite fast. And the last one is fairly long with gorgeous views you can enjoy. I would definitely recommend this tour.

There was an area with padded chairs, sofas and a couple tables in the shade. This is up on deck 19. There was always plenty of loungers available. Again though we had very cool, cloudy weather the entire week.

We just got back and had the Aurea experience. The priority check in and boarding was nice. Certainly not a must have for us though. As mentioned the My Choice dining and private deck/bar were absolutely worth it. There were 4 in our group. Went to dinner around 7 each night. There was never a line and we were seating immediately. Around 8 or so we noticed a line started forming and people did have to wait. There are 2 hot tubs on deck and there were always plenty of chairs available. However, we did have less than favorable weather so that could have something to do with the lack of people outside.

They served bottled water at dinner. You had your choice of sparkling or distilled. And we found that you could get bottled distilled water at any of the bars. Took a bottle back to our room nightly.

We are cruising in 2 weeks and are looking for any info for these questions also. In particular the "My Choice" dining. Haven't been able to find much info on how that is working.

FLL has a BagstoGo service. They will hold your luggage at the airport for you for a fee.

We just signed up through Shore Excursioneer. They were cheaper than going direct through Mystic Mountain and round trip transportation from the cruise terminal is included.

We were looking at booking Mystic Mountain through Jaital tours. Has anyone used them lately?
-
We used them in Jan. We gave them the correct hotel info (which was on our reservation) but when they were late and we finally got ahold of them they said they were heading to a different hotel. Whether that was the excuse because they were running late I do not know. They quoted us $95 also. But my credit card statement showed 2 charges. $10 and $95. We would not use them again.

Yes, you do need to climb a ladder back into the boats. But the crew and other people on the tour were right there to help anyone that need it.
-
All depends. We had some that started showing up around 6 months out and others did not become available until 2-3 months before.
-
Isn't the bottled water less expensive if it is preordered?
I believe if you pre-pay for the water you don't have to pay the 15% gratuity. On board you will.

We just got back from our cruise and did this tour. We really enjoyed it. The boats are a lot of fun. Wish we could have driven around a little more. And you stop to snorkel in a little protected cove. The snorkeling is really easy. There are lots of colorful, smaller fish and coral. I also saw a stingray and someone else in the group saw a turtle. I think those are hit or miss in the deeper water but the shallower area feels like an aquarium. And the crew was alot of fun too. We would recommend the tour.

We were just at Grand Turk and Barefoot Cabana is NOT open. There was a little place "Island Jerk" that was right between there and Jack's Shack. 2 chairs and an umbrella was $20. They had $3 local beer - Turk's Head (Jack's was charging $4) and $5 what would be US domestic beers. Though those ran out fairly quick. They also served jerk chicken and conch fritters. We had the conch fritters and they were pretty good. They also had music playing the entire time we were there. They also were renting snorkel gear and some blow ups to float on and such. We enjoyed our day there.

We just got back from this excursion. We really enjoyed it and the crew was alot of fun. They put ladders out on the end boats. Most people did need some help, but the crew or others in the group were right there for assistance. I would recommend this excursion.

UberXL is required to fit 6 people. Right now Miami does not have a separate SUV category, so you could would get a minivan or SUV with 3rd row seats. If everyone packs fairly light it would work. But if everyone brings a big 29" roller and a carry on bag, you may have a pretty tight squeeze.
It surprises me that UberXL is required to fit 6 people. We just used it in FLL for 4 of us. And there were only 4 seats avail and our luggage just fit.

We are doing the same thing for our upcoming cruise. From our experience we found the hotels in Fort Lauderdale to be cheaper than Miami. You can check some of the shuttle services in the area to see which hotels they offer shared shuttle rides. We are at a hotel that doesn't offer this service and will be paying a bit more for our ride to the POM. On the way back we will be taking advantage of the shared service. We also found that a hotel close to the airport with free shuttle service is a great convenience.
Between these boards and online searches you can find a lot of info on transferring. A lot of people seem to go this route.

I'm a 50ish woman and use Uber frequently when travelling for business. It's a great service and I would recommend highly! Planning on using Uber from FLL to our hotel in Miami Beach in Feb.
If anyone needs a promo code, feel free to use mine: kathyc95
Thank you pennychips. We just signed up and used your promo code.

We're thinking about using UBER for the first time this Friday in FLL for transportation from the airport to our hotel. Would XL be good for 4 people and luggage?
-
Thanks for the All Service Shuttle info. We have them scheduled this Sat for our transfer. Can't wait!!

We ended up take a mini-bus tour. They stopped and let you off at the holocaust memorial, a beach and El Morro fort. There may have been 1 more stop also?? You had time to walk around at each place. And in between was very informative. We were there Christmas Day so we didnt' know what was all going to be available. When we got off the boat a nice gentleman had 2 seats left so we hopped on. I can't tell you the name of the operator but it looked like there were several buses doing the same thing. We really enjoyed the tour and had time for walking around town and shopping also.

We are in the same position and are planning on checking out the Sun Trolley. We were going to do the luggage express and then check our carry ons at the bags-to-go. I'd report back how it went but it looks like we will be getting off the Glory as you are getting on. Have a great cruise!

We did the cave tubing and zipline in Belize a few years back. We loved it! Hope you have a great time.
