  1. Thank you all for the great tips! Hubby and I are looking for a place to enjoy a couple of drinks before dinner during the cruise and the Alchemy Bar may end up being our go-to place. One last question. Are the drinks served in the Alchemy Bar covered under the Cheers package? Thanks!

  2. Hi, everyone!

My hubby and I will be cruising on the Legend Nov. 3rd-10th. We are interested in giving the Alchemy Bar a try and was wondering what others have thought about the drinks served in the Alchemy Bar.

I will be on Legend on Nov 3.  I have never cruised the Western Caribbean or on Legend but love cruising.  I have been on Miracle, a sister ship in the Spirit Class, one month after Miracle began sailing in 2004.

Is there any specific info you are looking for?  I hope to post a review after we return.

My hubby and I will be on this cruise, too. We love the Legend and are so excited that she is returning to Tampa. This will be our 3rd time on this ship. We got married on the Legend and are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary on this cruise (the 8th).

  4. Hello, Trip.

I am really glad I found this review here on CC. The pictures you have posted thus far are absolutely incredible!

My hubby and I are booked on the Legend out of Tampa in November of next year. This will be our third sailing on the Legend. The first two sailings were back in 2009 & 2010, way before she received her upgrades during dry dock. So, naturally I am excited to continue following your review and seeing all the new features added to this already beautiful ship.

This particular cruise will be quite special for us. My hubby and I were married on the Legend in 2009. When we found out that this ship was returning to Tampa, we could think of no better way to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary than to sail the same ship where we said our "I do's." We even managed to book the same cabin we had on that cruise, a vista suite with a wrap-around balcony on deck 5.

  5. I've sailed on Sensation, Inspiration, Glory, Legend, Dream, and Paradise. Had great cruises on all ships. If I had to choose a favorite, it'll be the Legend, for 2 reasons. One being that I love the layout of the Spirit-class ships. The 2nd reason why the Legend is my favorite is because my hubby and I got married on that ship, so she holds a special place in my heart for that reason.

  6. I know Port Canaveral has sound, but I don't recall if they play the marine radio.

The audio on the Port Canaveral webcam may not be working, as I cannot hear anything. I even tried adjusting adjusting the volume on my PC. It's a shame. The webcam sits on top of Fishlips Grill and I really enjoy listening to the live music while watching the ships sail out.

  7. Out of 10 cruises, there has only been one time in which both my hubby and I got sea sick. It was the second day of the cruise and we were passing the tail end of a tropical depression and the seas were a bit rough that day. Plus, our stateroom was at the back of the ship. Strangely enough, this was our honeymoon cruise.

  8. Thanks for posting your review. My hubby and I sailed on Oasis for the first time Nov. 9th-16th, the week after your cruise. I had doubts about sailing Oasis at first, fearing that the ship itself was too big and too crowded. But I was very impressed on how organized the ship was, including the embarkation process. The ship never felt overcrowded to me. We had so much fun on Oasis that we decided to sail her again in November. The truth is that the ship is so big that 7 days is really not enough time to see everything that Oasis has to offer.

  9. My hubby and I enjoyed JR on our last Oasis cruise. We ate there for breakfast most mornings, as the service was way quicker and not nearly as crowded as the MDR or Windjammer. We also enjoyed a couple of late night meals in the restaurant as well. I had no idea that you can order your food to go to take back to you cabin. I will keep that in mind on our next Oasis cruise coming up.

  10. A very nice start to your review. Keith is such a handsome little man.

My hubby and I sailed on Oasis the week after you all did (11/9-11/16). We had such an amazing time. The ship is so big that we did not get to see everything. Seven days is just not long enough on such a grand ship like this one. We decided to sail her again next November, this time we'll be doing the eastern itinerary.

I look forward to following the rest of your review.
