Happens to aother person on my roll call

I have booked a HAL 17 day Panama Canal cruise leaving April 17, 2018. I just today started to do some research on ports/excursions and realized that there are 9 sea days (2 of which are listed as "cruising". In addition, some of the ports indicate that there is not much to do in port. Am I missing something? I have heard nothing but good things about Panama Canal cruises but what the heck do you do with half of the cruise on the ship? (I know, I know, relax)

Again, thanks to everyone who responded to my post. After giving it a lot of thought, I cancelled the cruise and I am going to re-schedule for the summer of 2018. I am cruising in July 2017 and April 2018 so I think that is enough for now.

THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to respond to my post. I now feel as excited as I did when I first booked the cruise. Looking forward to crisp Fall weather and the interesting itinerary. I will be patient with the building of a roll call. Since I travel solo, I enjoy meeting some people on line and hook up a few tours.

I recently booked a HAL cruise for October 14-24, 2017 to Canada, Halifax, etc. Now I am having second thoughts, one for concerns about the weather and two, there is no roll call. I "started" one and have not received a reply. I have already paid for my airfare ($486) because it was a good deal. Final payt date on the cruise is July 31. I will hang in until then but am losing interest in this particular cruise.

I have two other bookings: 12 Celtic Adventure in July 2017 (active roll call) and am all set with tours, etc and another for a 17 day Panama Canal in April 18. I haven't looked for a roll call for that cruise yet.

Any input on the Canada cruise would be appreciated.

Sailing on a 12 day Med cruise and to date only 3 cruisers have posted on our roll call. Has anyone experienced this little activity before ? I realize that sailing is 7 months away but my past experience showed much more activity.

Thanks to all who answered my question(s). How do I find out if the B B Kings are on my cruise. I thought I was safe with this cabin because I thought the Queens Lounge was a card room. HA ! Where is the disco located ? I just re-checked by cabin number and it is 1055.

This is the first time I am sailing solo. My husband and I cruised often but always booked a verandah suite on a higher deck.

I will read up on the info on the M&G and decide if it is something I would want to do.

I am sailing on the Eurodam on April 26 and have booked a C outside view cabin mid ship. I know the Queens Lounge ad Culinary center are above my cabin but what is beneath it ? I have concerns about noise in the evening.

I usually sail HAL but am considering taking my family on a RCI cruise to either Bermuda or the Caribbean next June. Their would be 11 of us with grandkids ranging from 10 to 26, plus 5 adults 47-75. Does RCI offer any perks for a group this size ?
