  1. Lynnwood is just fine, north of Seattle. There is Alderwood mall nearby and it is just a run down I-5 to get to Seattle. Traffic might be a challenge, so leave plenty of time. I moved from the area many years ago so I am not up on the latest transportation to get down to the cruise terminals..

  2. Our first cruise was a Mother's Day trip. 9 years ago I believe??Bussed from Seattle to Vancouver WA, boarded the ship with DH, DS, and BIL for an overnight trip back to Seattle. Great Mother's Day trip for us. Now well seasoned and another 49 days booked over the next 2 years...Hooked I'd say...

  3. For detergent - just use a couple drops of shampoo which already has degreasing agents works great.

For fabric softener - a couple of drops of hair conditioner is an excellent substitute.

Having been a Textile Science major in college I know all sorts of handy tricks.

These are great tips! Everyone's. I'll use them on my upcoming trip

  4. And we haven't even embarked yet. There are so many people on here that I know. Hi everyone. This is going to great fun.

Great Job Rick!!! I remember the Live threads from back in the day of Radio & Trainman. You will do it right so I am along for the ride too.

  5. I agree that the beverage packages might well be a reason for less servers at the pool areas, patrons won't drink as much if the servers aren't as available... there were several wait staff usually wandering about the pool area several years ago, it is seeming far less now...

  6. Good for "fly to" cruisers....but sigh....the traffic is the pits for "drive to" cruisers

like me. If I was flying in, I would love that short distance from airport

    to ship also. :D

Good point, we are fly in cruisers... we come in a couple days before the trip to relax and often stay over also...since we fly from the west coast it makes the trip more enjoyable

  7. You will enjoy Maho beach. We take a taxi there, and find they will return to pick up also. Amenities are scant, bring towels, you can hit the bar at the far end of the beach for food and drink... the waves at the beach can be a bit rough also- it's not a shallow beach so stay safe!

  8. After April there will be no more free balloon twisters or face painters on the boardwalk and kids clubs on Allure/Oasis. More budget cuts. This is so disappointing that they took away these free activities.

Hello all, don't despair! Our roll call on Oasis for February 6th has a balloon artist coming onboard. Perhaps this is something that isn't scheduled all crusies. I will enjoy seeing his work and we bet the kids onboard cannot either!

  9. My experience has been strictly for Labadee, but it may help you.. I get an email from the concierge about a week or two before sailing and then ask that a cabana be reserved for me. I know you may email your concierge before that time also and do the same. I do suggest that if the cabanas are numbered at your stop that you know which one you would like.. I have had total success doing it this way on Labadee..

  10. We were also on the 12-24 cruise on Indy! It was a great cruise from start to finish.. I am glad we did Dunn River Falls on the day it rained, we didn't even notice it! We did go to Barefoot beach and enjoy W5 cabana there. It's a great beach and swim or snorkel area. There wasn't any line for food inside the Barefoot beach area, so don't worry about that... The lunch was excellent, I loved the steak! Advice for "dst": just email the concierge a week out from your cruise and let him "Raj" know you would like a cabana at Barefoot Beach. He had my choice reserved and billed it to the SeaPass without any difficulties for us..can't wait to re board again in November ...
