I forgot to name the ship!! The Emerald Princes.
-
Thankyou. I have a couple of other questions and I hope you can help:
1:Do the three main dining rooms all have the same menu?
2: Is there an extra charge for the Crown Grill?
3; Is there a charge for the pastries in the International Grill?
4: The outside deck areas seem to be few. Where will we be able to view the TSE?
5: Is there a Library with real books?
Thank you for your advice!

Oops.
I should start a TV show with all my blunders.
If it's butter it must be the butler. LOL.
Keith
Is it "sweet" butter or salt?

Our thanks too for the great news!
I have a question regarding butlers. We have had them on occasion but much prefer to be left alone. Do we also have "cabin attendants"? You have said as the result of having butlers there are less staff in the dining rooms? Not good!
Look forward to your comments and to our forthcoming trip in November (Miami b2b)

I didn't ask if the price from previous private VR's went up so am unsure of the cost at this time.
When I do these they have kept to what is the standard cost, but we normally keep to five to seven people so you can keep to one bottle pairing. We like them to build up and included one or two very special wines. We've gone with themes at times and I remember one-time having guests figure out did it come from Napa or Bordeaux.
Keith
ALL of them looked like VERY special wines! Retail, four figures for each!

I spoke to Crystal rep the other day and they WILL be doing them. We were on several "Jazz" (Tommy Dorsey) or Dance cruises and cancelled out of the last one with the shutdown.

We are on Silver Moon at the moment, and the staff are great, Unfortunately, the dress code is archaic, six sea days this segment and every one of them is Formal or Informal, and they are militant about enforcing it. The other issue is the very relaxed smoking policy, starting with "Smoking on the balcony is discouraged." Say what??
As much as we like the ship, this will likely be a "one and done" with Silversea for us.
I thought ALL lines had eliminated smoking in the cabins, even some of them in the casinos and that there only were small outdoors smoking sections. I have read recent reviews of Celebrity and there are complaints of smoking in cabins, etc. Since SS is now part of RCCL, maybe the Company has relaxed smoking standards on all ships.

I'm sorry already!!! MY CS number ok?

MY TA DOES have my CC loyalty number one BUT, while she was on vacation and before Crystal opened up, I used another agent to book my SB cruise - a delicate situation.
ON another topic:
I got a "cold call" from a Crystal salesman tonight, hoping to solicit a booking. That is rather surprising, to say the least! I hope they are not having trouble filling the ships!

When you say CC number do you mean the booking number?
At this time you cannot access your booking via the website.
Keith
No, it is my Original (old)Crystal Cruises loyalty number - don't remember the proper nomenclature for that

Our most recent Crystal booking confirmation shows our membership number and cruise level. Search for the words *Completed voyage credits (include the asterisk if you wish). You might want to read this thread: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2862867-seabourn-recognizes-crystal-society-milestone-levels/?do=findComment&comment=63475386
We booked our cruise through a TA. My booking ONLY shows my CC member number, not status. I cannot even find a place on the CC website to find my booking or any other way or Search window to contact them

While we were waiting for the New Crystal, we booked a cruise with Seabourn. I heard that they were honoring Crystal Society status so I checked them out and they are asking for a "screenshot of Crystal Cruises account, showing membership level". Can anyone tell me IF or how I can get that?
Thanks
Hubert
Booked on Serenity , Nov, 22 day B2B trip Miami. NO AIR needed YAY! , plenty of sea days, the ship IS the destination.

We were on Serenity shortly after AI was instituted and there were indeed more drunk guests than we had seen since our first Crystal cruise in 1995! And drunk VERY early in the day too!
What is 'Al"?? .
We were on Symphony just before Covid AND Serenity and Symphony when re-started, includng just 2 weeks before the end. NEVER saw any drunks on ANY of my 18 cruises!

Cunard seemed to have a lot of opportunities for dancing. And the Princess suites were a decent price with exceptional food in their private DR. I think I saw a lot of bridge players also.
Not being in the upper income category, we found the old Crystal to be a bargain for what they offered.
We will be on the Serenity in Dec, preceded by SB and CU so will have a good opportunity to compare

We are booked to go in April BUT some friends who are experienced cruisers just returned and said the food AND service in the Dining Room was TERRIBLE! They did enjoy the entertainment, however.
MAYBE the Yacht Club is better, but a "regular" booking should provide very good quality food and service. The buffet was also reported to be very poor. There are also language problems because many of their staff are not very proficient in English. NOT looking fporward to this!
braxx20 - over 100 cruises taken, ; mostly RCCL, almost all the others including Crystal

I talked a large group into joining us on the Seaside. Everyone is reading reviews and wants to cancel. Any word if the sewage smell can be corrected. Also, this is a very casual group - all eat at the buffet 3 meals a day. If the dinner buffet does not start getting better reviews, I have no hope of saving this group. I really hope MSC is reading the reviews. I'd love to try this ship. We have been on more than 55 cruises. It would be nice to add another line to the list.

From the reviews I've seen, the Yacht Club may be excellent, but if it costs more money why no go on RCCL or to other mid-priced line in a balcony? - or go on a Luxury line"`
We LOVE the Allure and other Oasis class ships, plenty for kids to do and the DR food is quite good.
braxx20 - over 100 cruises

Allure 3/11/18
Seaside (ugh?) 4/14/18
