  1. We had a 6hr. Long delay on aTUI  P&O charter a good few years ago,we put a claim in via Resolver complaints site  ,it was settled quickly I’m sure we got approximately £950  very simple form to fill in and send away

  2. Everyone does not transfer to the airport at the same time unless your on a tour that ends at the airport , other people may know when day cabins are to be vacated ,you can also use the showers in the spa to freshen up before the bus leaves for the airport approximately 3hr before flight

S ==So everybody transfers at same time unless going on a tour. I thought the daypass meant you stayed on longer than the others.

So it's for use of a cabin until you depart?

(I have done numerous Caribbean cruises before but never heard of bypass before. Normally we do a tour pre airport) but think we will stay on ship this time

The onboard internet works better at night ...

Joking apart it was very difficult to book the seats as I think absolutely every flight was released at once. I understand it's very normal for the access to be difficult on release of the seats.

This year for the first time po sent email link to seat booker may be because I had booked direct for this cruise

I’m glad you have something that suits you.

Fine if you want to travel for 8 hours plus to Dover and the cruise offered is of interest.  Not quite the same as a French river cruise however from a port a short distance away.

    Have a wonderful cruise.

We were looking forward to a cruise before winter and had never cruised the Azores before we got a terrace balcony for the price of an outside so we thought we would give it a try

  7. We were booked on this cruise ,got a phone call from travel agent at lunchtime telling us that the cruise was cancelled and what our options were, we contacted Fred Olsen as when we booked the cruise we were given free tips and drinks packages they confirmed this would be transferred to the new cruise so we booked VISTAS & VOLCANOES OF AZORES & MADEIRA at 50% discount ,we were also able to book parking at CPS Dover

  8. We will be visiting Hamburg on the 12 th November via P&O Oceana.

Can anyone advise where the shuttle bus from the port takes you to ? Is it anywhere near the bus stop at Hamburg Central station to board the hop on hop off bus?

  9. We have just booked the 17 th Nov 2019 35 nights from Southampton to Caribbean and return.

The last post for Oceana was on the 9 th August discussing the cancellation of The Arabian Gulf cruise (which we also had booked for).

There is no discussion now for Oceania’s new itinerary , 35nights Southampton to Caribbean and sailing back to Southampton (which we have now booked for):

The  itinerary is correct but the discussion is still for the gulf , this may be a silly question ,but do we continue to post on this roll call , or does a new one need to be formed

  10. Hello Nellie 100 ,

We are also taking the coach from Southampton back to Manchester.

Don't know for sure but  presume the coach will drop us off at the coach station next to the train station next door to the airport .There is a moving walkway  from station to terminal 2. It isn't possible to pick up at train station so presume same for coach station you will need to use pick up point at airport terminal .

Never sailed back from Caribbean but sailed to and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. So much to keep us occupied on sea days, we had brilliant weather ,its the luck of the draw so lets hope the sun shines on us again.

The islands we are visiting are amongst my favourites. We are flying out on the 11.35 Dreamliner  on the Friday so looking forward to having a relaxing day on the Carlisle bay beach at Lobsters Alive.(next to Boat Yard but much cheaper)

Do you have any experience of further along the bay for beach and swimming ?

    Hope this helps

    I&A.

  11. hello js10.

we have just returned from a short break in Belfast and surrounding area, and can highly recommend Vale cabs Belfast. Billy is a self employed taxi operator running a new Audi A8.

We had a wonderful trip with him ,he was very informative of his native Belfast and tailored the tour to our needs .

He can be contacted at valecabsbelfast dotcodot uk

The Giants Causeway, and rope Bridge are now run by National Trust so if you have a membership remember and take it with you, then entrance is free.

Hope you have a wonderful trip and the weather is kind to you.

We have a wonderful country you will be made most welcome.

  12. We are sailing on the Discovery on 14th Jan 2018.

Having looked at the deck plan we notice there is an adult only sun terrice at the back of the Spa called the Varanda.

Does anyone know if there is a charge for this area ,and if so how much.

We cannot find any detailed description of the area, hence posting this question.

  13. I found exactly the same - we probably met! In addition to your accurate observations there were male attendants, although they knock twice it is completely open plan. If you are in the shower you don't hear anyone knocking and the towel hooks are on the outside, so there is a risk of someone being traumatised for life - and I doubt it would be me [emoji6]There is a towel hook in the disabled shower but the overhead shower wasn't working only the hose. All in all, it ends up being quite stressful and annoying as oppose to bring a relaxing experience - I like to read on a device which meant I couldn't use any of the rooms without going to reception and queuing to have it locked up then queuing to get it back, it's ridiculous. In the end I asked for my money back and I only paid what I thought was fair.

Good for the update hope they have got their problems sorted out.

We flit between Princess and P&O. Princess definitely has the edge. But P&O cheaper for bar prices and tips,

    Swings and roundabouts me thinks.

    Thanks again
