For cruisers who have been to Nassau, Cozumel and Costa Maya recently:

During your time in these ports, did you have any problems with mosquitoes? Did you or anyone with you end up with mosquito bites? Did you apply bug repellent?

If the Allure docks in Port Everglades at 6:15am. What time is the earliest walk off?

Interesting, wonder why it was cancelled. Never booked the excursion. Looking for some feed back, from cruisers that took this excursion. Sounds like it might be removed from Royal Caribbean's excursion list.

Has anyone recently gone on a dune buggy excursion in Costa Maya? If yes, did you book through the cruise line or find a private tour company? Details appreciated

My Crown & Anchor status is Diamond. I will be sailing on my first Celebrity cruise later this year. I signed up for the Captain's Club. Does it take effect before or after my first sailing and what status will I be with Celebrity?

The difference between a double and single is the tax, only. Single guest has to pay double port charge.

we were on allure for a b2b 10/23 and 10/30, so we had capt zini one week and capt johnny the next. At his captain's corner, capt zini said he would return january 15th so if that holds, you should have captain johnny.

Your trip with Captain Alan looks and sounded like a GREAT trip. Last time I booked an independent snorkeling trip was in St Thomas with Yacht Adventures on "Island Girl". I was very disappointed. I said I wouldn't book another, but after seeing your trip with Captain Alan, I've changed my mind. Thanks for the review.

Can you list some of the food available at the Boardwalk Bar?

I remember reading corn dogs...forgot if food there is no charge and know drinks must be purchased. Can guests with soda package get mugs filled there?

I heard there is a spiral stair case on deck 7 starboard, aft end, pass the passenger cabins, out onto public balcony that leads down to the Boardwalk. If you happen to go that way, can you post a report?

oceanbabe - If you type in "ice bar" in the search bar of this thread, you will find posts containing info on it. Such as:

Just got back from our Scandinavia cruise. The info I got on this post from Al and Ultima, especially about the taxis and what to see in Stockholm, was so helpful. We ended up taking taxis everywhere because of our limited amount of time there, and I was amazed at how many of the "black" taxis were around. They didn't like it too much when we bypassed them for one of the reputable companies!!

 

And everyone out there, listen to Al regarding the Ice Bar!! It is indeed just a tourist trap and not worth your time or money!! Fun for about the first...30 seconds. After that, you pretty much just want to get the heck out of there. The pictures we took weren't even that great, thanks to the huge parkas, hoods, and gloves you have to wear!!:p

Just want to thank you very much for coming back and reporting on your experiences. So, glad the taxi tutorial proved helpful.

 

Regarding the Ice Bar, I thank you for coming back with an honest opinion on that. I have been accused of being too hard on the Ice Bar, and frankly, hardly anyone ever comes back and says how wonderful it was or how "totally worth the money" the experience was for them.
