  1. We were on the same sailing (8/31). Have to say...this was my favorite cruise.  We were in an interior on thenlido as well, and loved the location.  Frequented the lobby bar, casino bar, and piano bar...all of which were lively and fun.  I noted several times that the ship did not seem crowded at all.  We never had a problem finding chairs, even on the last sea day on the serenity deck.

FYI..we had early dining and it was on he top level of the Lincoln dining room, not Washington,  my husband and I also did the chefs table....outstanding!  Our wait staff was top notch, and the food in mdr was excellent.  We purchased the cheers package...well worth the money!

walked around Cozumel..been there now 5 times so nothing much. We stopped at a restaurant in Progreso with our friends to hang out...9 beers and a large margarita for $23!!  What a steal. Walked further into town and really enjoyed the local vibe.

Can’t wait to go on the Valor again

  2. I’m on a Valor cruise at the end of August.   I’ve booked the chefs table, as I’ve had the experience on the Conquest a few years ago.  Can anyone tell me what the menu is now?  If it’s the same as 2017, I may want to cancel.

  3. We were on the Conquest last month, and my husband and I agree it was one of the most memorable things we have ever done. After appetizers in the galley, we were escorted to a beautiful private dining room to the side of the mdr. The food, wine and ambiance were all outstanding. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

  4. We reserved online, but they would not give us a day until we boarded. They had a table set up near lido to reserve or confirm. It was, by far, the best thing we have done. The food was over the top good, and the ambiance was outstanding. I will say...they say you have to wear closed toe shoes, but I only had sandals. She had to call to get approval (which was granted). I would recommend this to anyone.

  5. I, too, was on the same cruise, we loved it! Grand Turk...Jacks shack. La Romana, stayed on the ship to relax. Aruba..eagle beach. Curaçao.island tour and beach stop. Our mdr experience was the best of our 6 cruises. Our waiters had our sparkling water and wine waiting for us each night, and we were extremely happy with them.

Had a balcony on lido.loved the location! On the deck in a few steps. Loved guys burgers, and blue iguana burritos.

I would sail on the Conquest in a heartbeat. Loved everything about the ship and the itenerary!

  6. My husband and I got off the cruise yesterday :( and I thought I would share some highlights.

We flew into Fort Laudederdale the day before, and stayed at the holiday inn express on 17th street. Nice hotel, close to the port and has a shuttle for $8 per person. We bought FTTF (before the price increase) and was on the ship before noon, our luggage arrived shortly.

This is our 6th cruise, but our first out of Florida. We usually sail from our homport, NOLA, but wanted to see some more exotic islands. We stayed in a balcony on the lido deck and absolutely loved it. We were so close to almost everything. The conquest is just the right size for us, big enough to alleviate the crowd, but not mega sized.

Our first couple of days were rough seas! The wind was brutal, and really rocked that boat. Luckily we had taken bonine a couple of days before, so that really helped. It did calm down as we got close to Grand Turk.

Grand Turk was beautiful. We walked past the crowds to Jack's Shack and it did not disappoint. Very few people, strong drinks, and cracked conch...loved it!

La Romana, it was raining, and we didn't really like anything that was offered. We got off and shopped a bit, then returned to enjoy an almost empty ship.

Aruba, we took a cab to eagle beach for a few hours, returned to eat dinner, then walked around town

Curaçao was beautiful as well. We took a tour of the island, stopped at a beach for a couple of hours, then toured downtown. Loved walking over the floating bridge!

We also did the chef's table for our anniversary...was worth every penny. It was a one of a kind evening.

Having FTTF, we were the first off the ship and was able to secure a much earlier flight home. Was able to get on a 7:45 flight instead of our original 12:20.

The crew on this cruise was one of the best. Always a smile and hello, our steward, Puntra was a delight. We had early dining and our wait team knew our names and preferences by the second night. Shout out to bartenders at the blue iguana, Arif and Roger, also Katherine in the aft pool bar.

We did purchase cheers, which, for an 8 night cruise was quite a hit to the pocketbook. It was well worth it. We had specialty coffees very day, sparkling water, cappuccinos after dinner, as well as many specialty drinks.

All in all, this was one of the best cruises I have been on. It was relaxing, fun, and a great way to spend my 30th anniversary

  7. We just enjoyed the chef's table on our cruise April 18 on the Conquest. To say it was an incredible evening of the most fantastic food I've eaten is an understatement. You are waited on by a team of waiters and the sous chef explains all of the food. We celebrated our 30th anniversary with this, and thought it was a highlight of the entire cruise.

  8. I may get flamed for this...but that's why I remove gratuities and pay everyone in cash. I tip very generously. I just heard somewhere they really appreciate the cash. I always make sure everyone who I come into contact with gets their share.

  9. My dh and I have a balcony on the lido deck on the conquest in April. We've only ever had balconies on upper before, so we got this to be close to all the action. My question is, is an ocean suite worth it or not? Love the idea of a suite, but back again to be 2 or 3 decks from everything. Any opinions?

  10. In my previous cruises, we have always driven. This time we are flying to Fort Lauderdale to sail on the conquest. I have already decided to fly in the night before. My question is about flights home. I have FTTF and don't want to hang around the airport all day, but also don't want to cut it so close. Would I be able to make it for an 11:30 flight, or should I make it later?
