  1. So we are both in on same day different Ships Journey and Pursuit.

    You have the White Horses - pursuit 

    We have Choir in Tito Sq - Journey

     

    It would appear they did a temporary merge giving both ships choice on either but now reverted back to one per ship.  Makes we wonder if they know what they are doing

  2. Well we got our agent to book us on the white horses azam evening too (just in case) and both were showing as booked events on Monday - just checked again today and now the white horses evening has disappeared but we are still listed on the Choir in tito square.

    Customer services had no idea what was happening

  3. Thanks I will.  Infact just did a google by putting in Koper Vienesse Waltz white horses and search found an Azamara connect pdf with all Azmazing evening listed for all four ships 

    The only one listed for July at that port was the V.Waltz White horses so does look like they have dropped the Choir

Interesting Both Journey and Pursuit are in Koper on same day.  We are on Journey and have booked the Choir in Tito Square which was the only option about 6 weeks back.  Now I have looked again today after reading this, there is also the option of Azamazing Evening Viennese Waltz and White Horses.  It give no detail on the event other than 7pm start which clashes with the Choir.  dont know what to do now.

  5. I am due to go up to Discoverer plus also on my next cruise  BUT if I understand correctly have I read somewhere that if most of the point were accumulated on Celebrity we cant have this benefit?

  6. Im just trying to get my head around this as I wanted to prebook the ultimate package before our cruise in July and was expecting to be able to do this pre cruise and get my 15% loyalty discount.

    Is this something that is not at all possible?

    My TA has spoken to the Aza team in Uk and cant seem to get an answer and has had to escalate it, which might take a week for them to even respond.

    But are you saying if I had obc (which I dont)  I could buy it online AND get my 15% discount applied somehow.  I am just trying to reason this through

    Should I buy some OBC then use it precruise to buy a drinks package (providing I can get 15% discount) now to avoid a price increase.

    Does anyone have an explanation why I cant simply prepurchase with the discount? or did I read I can pre purchase with the discount but have to do it with obc

  7. I was just about to ask a similar question We have a cruise booked for July and on my account log in under our booking its simply says Excursions not yet available.

    However I could find a list of excursions if I use the search engine on the home page to find the cruise  in the cruse listing and then click view details which brings up another box view excursions which give a list with a brief overview of the whats available but not in detail and certainly no prices

    Given that its not too far away I wonder why we cant book them online?

  8. Thanks for the replies.  Dont really want to have to spend another £200-£300 on drinks when they are already included.  Its just I like the odd frangelico or a liqueur thats not on the complimentary. 

    But I did find last year the cocktails to be a bit disappointing.  Although what I ended up doing was asking what was included from the bar list and asking the bar tender to mix my own personalised cocktails

  9. I have a different take on the deeper angled cabins.  

    1. although deeper they bring more shade into the cabin as they are long and partially covered

    2. if too much out on the angle you can see one way but not the other  ie you dont have a clear view both visually left and right 

    3.  Other indented balcony cabins along the whole length of ship have a good view of your balcony so its not private

     

    You might also want to consider the configuration of inside layout.  If it assigned 3 or 4 berth its sofa to balcony.  If its assigned 2 berth only then bed will be near balcony

    Wow and I thought we had it bad with a 5.40 embarkation for a 6pm dinner.  

    Depsite my plea to Ambassador saying how when and where do you expect me to get changed? or would you like me to turn up to dinner in my boots leggings tshirt and anorak.  I was told 'they' expected people to turn up already dressed for dinner!  I explained that wasnt possible as we were staying in Southend on Sea with a days sightseeing.  Thankfully my agent stepped in and sorted it; after twice I appealed to their guest relations with a very firm stance on them not budging.  Even though we did manage an earlier time it was still a very tight schedule and I wont even go into the Chaos Total utter Chaos the following morning.  (Google will find my review on Cruise dot forum)

    Thanks for the mention.  As I stated in my blog they cant recreate what they once had with Cruise and Maritime on ships four times the size in the same small amount of time.  Top that with the size of the terminal capacity at Tilbury embarkation lounge, it just doesnt work.

Am I reading this right?  We are sailing on Friday 12th,  I have tests booked at Lloyds Chemists but already have had two locations cancelled as they have now pharmasists  being available to carry out the tests. One of the stores actually closed because they had no pharmasist at the weekend,  I have booked another instore test but no gaurantee they will have someone onsite to test until the time!

    Nightmare.

    Are you saying I now need not bother?

    I can self test?

    Thanks  might be a bit late for us as we get on as you get off.  Crazy thing is we are doing a pre stay hotel so want picking up as close to Piazalla Roma as possible, which is their main bus station. so you would have thought they would do a coach pick up from there.  Also on the way back we require a drop off at or near to airport.  They couldnt book us different legs

    Their current system can only cope with a return to same point so our return will have to be sorted once on board. but still confused by the pick up point

  14. Is there anyone currently onboard Onward that made use of the Venice to Ravenna buses from Tronchetto?

    Just wondering how smoothly it went and also if we are understanding the location correctly, as their information states near to Santa Lucia train station.  However looking at the map it is not, its actually at the other end of the people mover near the original cruise berths on the outer edge of the port

    Can anyone confirm this please?

    There is a new rum on the included package Flor de Caña replaces the Mount Gay.

    Also Onward has a new paperless accounting system with orders being done on pda, staff are still learning how it works which is slowing things down a little but I’m sure it’s a temporary blip, otherwise Onward is looking good. Still workmen doing the final touches but the ship has a much more modern feel than the others.

    On the drinks if you are on the std package and want to order a single drink thats on the Ultimate can you simply pay the odd $1 or two difference which you can do on Celebrity

    Maybe they meant the The People Mover ....which is a train that connects Tronchetto and Piazzala Roma

     

    The email I had states the following:

    When and where will the transfers take place?

    Transfers will be available at two locations in Venice, Italy:

    • Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE)
    • Venice Tronchetto (near Santa Lucia train station) in Venice

    Quite how near they mean I dont know, but I dont consider a 27 min walk to be near (I know we can get the people mover but it is hassle with the cases
