  1. In addition to the good advice already given, I would like to add that learning about the exposure triangle is a good step and helped me when I was starting. If you are taking photos in Auto, pay attention to the settings that your camera is using for those shots and see how the shutter speed, ISO, and aperture all work together in different scenes.

Probably the biggest help I have had is just watching Youtube videos. Start with some basic ones regarding your camera model and how to use it. Then find some professional photographers that you like with channels that show how they capture their images.

And lastly, of course I am going to say practice. It's just needed. Get comfortable with your camera.

  2. Was just in Bimini right after you made this post. Really small island but I enjoyed the vibe. It definitely felt more authentic than most of the other ports I have been to- which felt touristy. Not much there in terms of shops or food unless you are at the resort or head towards Alice Town. Radio Beach is really nice and does have some food that is reasonably priced and good. Not far from Radio Beach on the main road is a small "mall" that has a few shops with the basic island merchandise.

  3. We just paid $150 2 weeks ago for a 6 seater golf cart in Bimini. I think it was at Dolphin's. I wanted to negotiate but then my wife just paid it and off we went. What I found really interesting is unlike other times I have rented golf carts at other ports, they took no information from me. Didn't get my name, nothing. I could have driven it into the sea and if no one saw me I wouldn't be able to be held accountable. Just kind of strange.

  4. I am a Canon user, but have really been enjoying my Sigma Art lenses for Aurora photography. I have a 20mm 1.4 and a 35mm 1.4 and both are amazing. A friend has the 14mm 1.8 and it looks to be on par. I definitely recommend them!

  5. We will be on the Liberty next month and I would like to surprise my wife with some kind of spa treatment. I literally know nothing about any of the treatments or massages… and my wife has not really ever done any of these before either; which is why I would like to treat her to something.

For someone who does not really treat themselves, what would you recommend? I’m thinking something like a massage and facial, but again I’m clueless as to which ones to pick.

  6. Hey everyone, I just booked a cruise for next January with the family. The four of us were going to share a room, and after I booked (just today), my mother said she would like to go and she could share a room with one of my kids.

How would this work since I’ve already booked for the 4 of us in a cabin? Can Carnival just transfer one of us to her cabin when she books?

Don't hold your breath for the Wagyu... 3 sailings so far this year and all 3 was told it wasn't available.  I think they aren't buying it to save $$$  May be phasing it out too, not sure.

I had it on the Magic back in February... so it was available at least then. It was amazing!

  8. Supposed to be cruising this Saturday. The person I was going to be sharing a room with can’t make it, and another person in my party is also currently sailing solo. We both have separate rooms and I was wondering if anyone knows if we can cancel one room and get credit for it, and share a room this Saturday?

  9. I personally really dislike my iPhone photo quality. I mean it’s fine if I just want to snap a photo or two here and there, but if I am taking a picture of something that I want to print, then I would never use my phone. I guess I’ve kind of become a snob that way lol.

I leave on the Magic in 2 weeks and I’m bringing all kinds of camera gear… Canon 5D Mark IV, 16-35mm 2.8 lens, 24-70mm 2.8 lens, 70-200mm 2.8 lens, a GoPro for those underwater shots, and even a drone. It’s going to be a good time!
