  1. My travel agent called me just now and mentioned that cabin 7436 just opened up, so I grabbed it. I just didn't want to take the chance being immediately below Lido deck. Now I'm in a cabin with all cabins above (Deck 8) and all cabins below (Deck 6). I can't wait for my cruise to start. So happy now.

  2. Thanks for that information, as I have read in other reviews that there were loud noise to be heard since the close proximity to Lido Deck. I will give 9450 a chance based on your response.

I wonder if any other cabins on deck nine, below Lido deck, should be avoided. We have a large family scattered all over this deck.

  3. I need some feedback as I just cannot make up my mind on cabin 9450. This cabin is right below Lido deck, in the back, and I'm worry that our relaxation will be interrupted by the moving of chairs and tables in the wee hours of the morning. Can someone let me know if my family and I will hear these activities and noise occurring one deck above us.

  4. My ship, the NCL Epic will be docking in port at 5:am (not the last stop), and we plan to get off the ship to get a private transfer to our nearby hotel. What is a reasonable/safe time can I safely set for the cab to pick us up. I was really wondering what time the ship will start letting off people.

We are US citizens and probably will do a self disembarkation.

  5. I found this cab company (civitavecchiacabservice.com) for 69 Euros. Seems to get good reviews on the other boards. It's not prepaid so I feel a better knowing that I've not paid anything yet.

  6. Please point me to the right direction (options) on getting from a Central Rome Hotel to the Civitavecchia cruise port with two suitcases. I didn't realized that the port was so far away from Rome (1.5HR) . A private carriage service is charging $160 for two people. Is that the norm? How difficult to take train?
