  1. -You can get beverage cards for coffee, non alcoholic beverages 50 buys 100 dollars worth

-hit happy hour buy 1 get another for a dollar

-prepay credit for on board usage so your bill isn't staggering at the end

-they do offer a drink package as well for our upcoming 44 day cruise it is in the neighborhood of a couple grand each so we opted not to do this

-you can order packages of beer, wine, liquor for your cabin and replenish during the cruise if you run out

  2. Have not been able to access my itinerary, book excursions since trying on Sunday. Last night I chatted with their first customer service person told me my problem clear cookies so I did, same problem. Got a different person on chat and was told they are having technical problems and are working on it. Just checked still not working

  3. I beg to differ but we departed from SF in Dec and we were over 7 hours late because the dock workers walked off. This wasn't the worst of it, they were demanding 20 dollar a bag from people arriving to board. Luggage was left in the rain and some was dumped in the bay and not recovered. We got our luggage after one oclock in the morning and one bag was soaked. We were never informed as to the problem until later and we will not be cruising from California anytime soon.

  4. We just returned from this cruise. Three formal nights. Ukulele lessons so popular they did 2 sessions. Final performance took up the entire Princess stage.

Beware SF port worst experience we have ever had. It would have to be one heck of a cruise deal to get us back to SF port for any reason. Fun cruise limited entertainment, best we saw was provided by a non Princess entertainer who was an Elvis impersonator and the programs provided by the passengers.

All in all we enjoyed the cruise with the Hawaii themed activities.

  5. We did a 21 day Noordam Caribbean cruise and HAL immediately charged my credit card in excess of 2500 dollars. Only found out because have alerts set up by AMEX for large charges. Imagine my surprise when checking my email in DR and finding this. Immediately went to the Pursers desk and said what the heck. First person seemed clueless, no we didn't I show them the alert on my IPAD and say yeah you did, no help. I go back later and the guy says yes we can do that see it says so right here on this piece of paper. I said yes I know you can but I have never had my card charged like this and I don't see it as a credit on my account. At this point I decided that I would see what was up at the end and what was on my AMEX bill. By the time we returned after the first leg of the trip the charge was removed from my credit card. Was not happy and will watch them very closely in the future.

  6. Just came off the Noordam and we experienced the same thing. A few years a go found a great fan that runs off electricity or batteries and fits flat in the bottom of our luggage. Sometimes we use it and other times don't have to. It was a saver on this cruise as many times it seemed our cabin was not very cool when we returned from shore. At night the air conditioner seemed to come and go. I agree we shouldn't need to do this but it is a minor inconvenience to stay comfortable.
