  1. Just got off Sunday, so jealous of anyone going on this ship! There is so much to do, I had so many things highlighted in my cruise compass. Park Cafe offerings were our favorite, many different salads, sandwiches, and I loved the breakfast sandwiches and taquitos. I would ask them to toast your morning bagel twice, mine was barely toasted. We only made it to the Windjammer once and it was for breakfast. I enjoyed the selections and I wished we had eaten dinner there once because I was not impressed with the MDR menus as I have been in the past. At Chops and Giovanni's, we ordred half portion pastas or 6oz filet and they forced us to order more. I wanted the smaller serving and both servers insisted on bringing us more. We ordered one dessert and they brought us three. Why? Participate in everything that interests you, the 70s party was so much fun, but we almost didn't go, they show it on tv later so we got to see ourselves. We missed the 50s and 60s party, I bet it was fun too. Play dodgeball, pickleball, and table tennis tournaments. Do charades, scattergories, and trivia! OceanAria and Ice Games were awesome, Blue Planet was kind of boring. Sad we missed How to Train your Dragon on ice. I hope you have a great cruise.

  2. I appreciate this thread, I can't believe that woman did that and the crew member did nothing. I also don't understand why anyone would take the time to comment that it is a useless thread. Keep scrolling until you find something useful. Just off the beautiful Allure, everyone was very courteous about smoking areas. Definitely the best cruise we've ever been on, a wonderful ship, I miss her.

  3. Just off today, I didn't enjoy the Warm Chocolate Cake, it was the same as the Molten Chocolate Cake(which was not molten at all). I also didn't like the Warm Dark Chocolate Cookie (it was a dry brownie). I didn't try the Royal Chocolate Cake which was different, but my table mates said it was amazing). Chocolate ganache as the frosting which is much better than american style buttercream. The frozen yogurt is amazing, try the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry! I agree with others, the chocolate desserts are lacking but I still love RC. Red Velvet cake in Chops was wonderful as well as the Key Lime Meringue Pie. We had a 3 night dining package so I missed soufflé night. Amazing cruise though!

  4. I love Galveston! Mario's on 61st, Gumbo Diner, Nick's, ShyKatz Deli, Board Game Island, Mosquito Cafe, Sunflower Cafe, Yaga's , Stuttgarden Tavern(get the pretzel), and Miller's Seawall Grill are my favorites.

I thought Gaido's and Fish Tales were way overpriced.

I have always wanted to rent a 4 person bicycle on the Seawall but my husband never wants to. L.A. Kings and Patty Cakes are great. The Strand is great for shopping.
