  1. Hi sldispatcher

Thanks so much for your updates on your Equinox sailing. :D We are also on-board in September for our first Mediterranean cruise so your regular updates are helping with the excitement and anticipation.

I'm thoroughly enjoying your live reports, you are a very descriptive writer and it makes for great reading. Thanks again for taking time from your vacation to share your experiences with us.

We sail on Equinox September 20 and although most of the ports you are visiting differ from ours it is still helping me to get excited about the cruise and being onboard the ship again.

Hi Golden Retriever, sounds like you may be on the same sailing we are on. If you are interested we have a great active roll call with now over 100 people from all over the world.

    See you in September!

  2. Hi

We were on this cruise and experienced the amazing bathroom attendant Jatnna in the ladies restroom outside of the MDR. This was her main job, we often saw her cleaning and readying the room during the day and then in the evening she was there all night ensuring everything was tip top. We loved her and yes we are all different but she seemed so genuine and I have never laughed so much when going to the bathroom! I'm sure she had many passengers that she hugged and my girlfriend & I were certainly among that group as well as our husbands who always came to say hello. She was a really interesting character and was trying to work her way up the ladder, I'm sure she will succeed.

My son and wife were on the Solstice for their honeymoon 2 cruises after us and she gave them a beautiful letter thanking us for our friendship. No return address just a lovely gesture.

It would be fantastic to meet her again on a future cruise and I know going in the ladies on the Equinox in September will not be quite the same without that bubbly personality to greet us.

    Lesley :)

Thanks so much for posting the Facebook album links. I only discovered your trip review last weekend and spent the whole morning reading it! When I started getting to the sections where the photo's weren't linking properly it was like reading a great book and some of the pages were missing so I was very happy to now be able to see them all! Your enthusiasm really had me hooked and now we are contemplating a similar cruise after we visit UK next year before heading home to Australia.

Were you on Port or Starboard side of the ship? Certainly would be lovely to have a view of the coast from the balcony although the one we are considering is the reverse of your itinerary.

Congratulations to you both, wishing you a wonderful future together.

    Lesley :-)

  4. Ship - Rhapsody of the Seas

    Deck - 2

    Stateroom # - 2108

    Stateroom Category – I - Oceanview

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – We did have noise issues but not from people. We had our son with us and he was using the bunk but the noise from the metal banging was so bad we had to put his mattress on the floor and secure the bunks to get any sleep. The cabin steward was very apologetic and seemed embarrassed, I think he was quite aware this was an ongoing problem. It did get better with padding etc after a couple of days so our son was able to sleep. The ship was full and I didn't want to cause a fuss. There was also intermittent mechanical banging from below. Not enough to disturb but noticable. I wouldn't book a cabin again over unknown space.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – N/A

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - N/A

    Was wind a problem? - N/A

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Just the noise as above.

Any other comments? - It would have been great not to have issues with the bunks and the banging below but it wasn't enough to spoil our cruise. Cabin location was convenient to stairs and the climb from 2 to the top decks was great exercise!
