1. This is more of a curiosity question than anything else.  We are Disembarking the Caribbean Princess in Ft. Lauderdale on February 27.  We board the Emerald Princess the same day in Ft. Lauderdale.  Has anyone else done this type of thing?

We are doing a back to back on the Caribbean and per Princess "Guests on back-to-back voyages will need to disembark the ship at the end of each voyage, receive a complimentary viral COVID-19 test, and will be permitted to board the ship again once they receive a negative test result."

I will attempt to find out from Princess if I can get one of these tests when I disembark the Caribbean Princess and then use it when I board the Emerald Princess.

This is all so confusing.  I just want to cruise.

2. I am currently dealing with Barkley Card about the incorrect posting of reward points. On my last statement ending May15 rewards were posted incorrectly on two of four eligible purchases, i.e., the reward points were not doubled. I made another eligible purchase on May 16. The points were not doubled when the purchase was moved from the "pending" category.

I have read of others having problems with Barkley Card. The problems continue. I plan to audit my last 12 statements to ensure that the appropriate points were awarded.

3. I am currently "fighting" with the Princess Card customer service people about inaccurate posting of double points. On the same statement, the card doubled some charges, i.e. future cruise credits, and failed to double points for other Princess charges. I wish these people would get their act together.

4. Our last two cruises, back to back, were on the Caribbean Princess. Both cruises held a cocktail party in Sky Walkers. We will be on the Island next week. Has anyone attended the most traveled get together on the Island recently? Was it a lunch or a cocktail party. I sure do miss the lunch.

5. You could have come back new if you had converted to the Mormon Church...;) Then you could have used those venues the Mormons were using... Two birds with one stone really, just sayin':)

Our recent experience on the Caribbean Princess TA was similar. Lots of noise and other meetings on the sky deck. One group tried to commander the entire sky deck without contacting a Princess rep. Princess should police this area better than it currently does.

6. I've cruised enough times to have gotten friendly with my service staff. No, they never "confided" in me the policy, but have always asked me politely to include my name and cabin number.

I have never been asked to put my name and cabin number on a cash tip. This might be because I just hand the cash to the cabin steward and/or other tipped personnel and we have 400+ days on Princess.

7. I never have this problem. I simply attach it to an email to my Princess Personal Cruise Planner and she sends it straight over. My shareholders request is often processed within the hour or at least by the end of the day. One of the advantages of using the Princess Cruise Planners.
That's good to know. I will contact my Princess Cruise Planner to see if he can do this for me, too.
8. We booked a last minute cruise on Monday, faxed the Shareholder Benefit form to Princess on Tuesday. The credit was not on my Cruise Personalizer this morning so I called Princess. Though they had not received my fax, they were able to add the Shareholder Benefit to my cruise with minimal fuss and bother. Thanks Princess representative. You know who you are.

9.
we were supposed to board Caribbean Princess today. We arrived to the terminal at 10.30 a.m. There were NO representatives from the cruise company,no information, no food or drinks. People were sitting in the cold cars for many hours. There were 2 portable toilets and long -long lines. Why we were treated like animals. Why Princess reps could not come and inform people? We left the terminal at 16.00 to go to eat and other passengers informed us that there would be no ship. Their travel agent told them. It is not the way to treat customers. Shame and disgrace. You Princess ruined our cruise. We were lucky to get a hotel room together with other unhappy passengers and heard all kinds of comments from them.
Princess sent text messages and emergency notification emails.
10. DELAYED CRUISE CHECK-IN AND EMBARKATION

Please be advised that due to heavy fog, Caribbean Princess' arrival in Houston has been delayed until Monday November 30. We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate further updates and a revised check-in time as soon as possible. Guests with a Princess Cruise Plus hotel package or Princess transfer will receive embarkation details at their hotel or the airport. Guests who reside locally or have ground transportation arrangements should call 1-866-246-6761 at 8:00 AM tomorrow morning for an update on the ship's progress before departing for the pier. Thank you for your attention to this notification. The entire staff and crew are eagerly anticipating your arrival, and we look forward welcoming you aboard Caribbean Princess.

PASSENGERS

11. No, I think you'll find we drive on the proper side of the road :D ;)

Tragic events in Paris, and I'm feeling very sad today

.......but, cancelling travel plans and causing fear and panic is what the terrorists want

Please don't let them win

Perhaps we should compromise and drive down the middle of the road.

12. My TA sent me an email re: a dock change for the Carribean Princess boarding tomorrow 10/21 (Quebec to Houston), but I was unable to download the email. Is anyone on this cruise and if so, did you receive new dock information? Right now it is right outside my hotel window (on Rue Saint Antoine). I hope it stays there-- that would be very convenient! Many thanks.

Why not call Princess?
