  1. We have experienced both and you can't go wrong with either one. Atlantis is closer and has a gorgeous aquarium, however the cost to utilize the water park/pool area is pricey. We bought a day pass and enjoyed the water park and pools. The aquarium tour cost extra, as everything does. My suggestion with young children would be Blue Lagoon. The island is a little piece of paradise and the ferry ride there is breathtaking. There are tons of activities the kids would enjoy and it is less crowded then Atlantis. We did not book through the cruise ship, because it's not necessary. We walked across the street just outside the port and purchased all inclusive tickets directly from the ferry company for $70 per adult. This included your ferry ride to and from the island, a lunch buffet and use of beach/chairs. The dolphin and sea lion interaction cost additional, but you can view them easily. There is also a really cool area behind the dolphins that you can walk through at no cost and you get a closer look at the sea lions. Check out bahamasbluelagoon.com for more info. We did not pre purchase and it worked out great. My only advice would be learn the ferry schedule, so you don't have to wait too long. Have fun whatever you decide to do!

  2. We stayed at this resort last year and it is absolutely breathtaking! We were not visiting the resort via cruise ship, however there were cruisers that came one of the days and had bought a day pass which included the beach/pool facilities and cocktails/food was additional. The resort was reasonably priced for any alcoholic beverages. I am not sure about food cost, as we were utilizing the all inclusive as a resort guest. They do not offer all inclusive day passes to cruisers. We loved it there so much we will be returning (this time cruising) and purchasing a day pass. From what I understand bring your own towel and pay for drinks/food with credit card. Have fun!
