  1. Fun story. We flew from Atlanta to Miami and I took two bottles of wine. I stressed and stressed about how to pack it to get it there safely. Hubby decided to do the cheers package almost as soon as we got on board. 🙄 😂

So I had to turn around and worry about getting two bottles of wine home! But I did!

We usually take a cruise for our anniversary.
They give us a very small, but very rich, cake with a candle.
They sing Happy Anniversary and had us kiss each time they said Happy Anniversary.
    It was silly but fun.

My husband and I are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary (or the 10th anniversary of our last vacation just the two of us....we have 4 grown children and 6 grandkids between the two of us.) He's a chocohoic, and this would be PERFECT!!

We are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on the Dream out of Galveston departing on July 27th which happens to be the day we got married. And looking forward to our first cruise. It'd be nice to have a 'surprise' for us but I'm not counting on it. I am just thankful that we are celebrating our 50th with the cruise.

Happy Anniversary! That is wonderful! I hope you have the time of your life on your cruise!!!

  4. No problem and if you have anymore, feel free to ask.

My husband and I went to NOLA for a few days to celebrate our 13th anniversary. We loved every single second of it! First time for both of us (second marriage for each, we're in our 50's). We're planning on a Fantasy cruise in November with this sisters and their husbands (they lost their mom last month, so this first Thanksgiving is going to be hard.)

I love that I just read a great review about a place I'm going, written by someone who lives in the place where I've just been! :D So cool!! :D

  5. I had the absolute best time in Freeport! We did an independent tour through Calabash Eco Tours and it was top notch. Shamie, the owner, is a native of Freeport and extremely knowledgeable. We did cavern snorkeling at Owls Hole, went to Lucaya National park and to Banana Bay restaurant right on the water with time to splash and play. Shamie took pics the whole time and posted then to his Facebook page so we could tag ourselves and have a great photo album free of charge! And he had us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. I couldn't rave enough for him! I wish my next Bahamian trip would stop there, but alas, it's just Nassau.. :(

Thank you!!! We went to Freeport on our first anniversary and I fell in LOVE with the beach there! That's when we decided we were taking my teenage boys on a cruise for our next family vacation. That was eight years ago. We're stopping Freeport on our upcoming cruise (30 year class reunion, oh me.) And I didn't know what we were going to do that day. Now I know!! We'll be there from 12pm to7pm. Thanks!

  6. My first (and only) cruise was our senior trip in high school, 1984. I remember the color of the water more than anything. And the hamburger I had on Little Stirrup Cay. It was ketchup packet, mustard packet, and relish packet....with burger and bun...and a slice of tomato. Still remember it as the best hamburger I've ever had!!!

I found this post on google, while I was trying to find some info to show hubby my first time.
