RCCL let my sister still take the cruise with no single supplement. My other sister was reimbursed the whole amount.

Our extended family is taking a cruise on May 16. My sister had a massive stroke yesterday. Would this cover her cancellation? Also, can my other sister that planned to be in the same cabin still go? Thanks!

Does NCL require you to where the life jackets during muster drill? It has been a few years since we have sailed NCL.

Thanks for sharing the pics Our first cruise was on this ship. We were infected with the cruising bug on that cruise. Now we are looking forward to our 9th cruise. Thanks to the Monarch!!

114 Days!! Anxiously awaiting!

We sailed on Emerald Princess for 10 nights and loved her. We had a mini suite and it was awesome! The cabin had lots of room. The food and service was awesome!!
We haven't been on the other two ships you are considering so I can't speak for those ships. Hopefully, one day we shall sail on those, too.
Whatever one you choose, I hope you have a blast!

Our Wishlist for Princess:
More West Coast itineraries.
More and newer ships on the West Coast.

Oops! I didn't realize that. I thought it was only the commercial type announcements.
Bring back the Captain!!

So glad they stopped those sales pitch announcements! I do enjoy the Captain's announcements. Glad they aren't stopping those.

We first started our cruising life with RCCL and we had some grand times on Freedom of the Seas and Monarch of the Seas (our first cruise). Then we decided to try Princess! We have been on Sapphire, Emerald and Star. All are awesome ships. We do like the choices of entertainment on Princess and the cabins seem to be better. For one, they have more storage space. We are in our mid-50's so we like to relax on our balconies. We don't bring the children with us, so we haven't used any of those services. I hope this helps you. Have a great time!

This may be a dumb question...but I will ask anyway. Can someone take the SeaPass Card from any room and head to one of the bars? I would think that could be a huge problem.

Back in 2006, our first cruise was a short 2 night cruise. I wasn't sure if I would like cruising, so we tried the shortest one possible. Now we love cruising! We took a bus tour to La Bufadora. We were hounded by all the vendors on the walk to La Bufadora which I believe was less than 1/4 mile long. It was neat seeing the blowhole, then walking back to the bus we were not bothered. We have stopped on a few other cruises to Ensenada and have not left the ship. And had a great time on the ship!!

We have stayed on our ships a few times. It is nice and relaxing! We usually stay on board when the ship ports in Ensenada, Cozumel & Jamaica. I think u will love it. Especially hubby!

The longer the better. We have been on 2, 4, 7, 10 and 15 day cruises. The 10 and 15 day cruises have been our favorites. You have time to really enjoy the cruise and the ports.
-
We have only been on one Carnival cruise. We had a blast! We just haven't found another cruise with the itinerary and dates since that cruise. We would definitely sail Carnival again.

I love planning our vacations, especially our cruises! My DH thinks I am obsessed. He's right. I enjoy every aspect of the planning process.

I am a big fan of Princess, but I do not like the warm melting chocolate cake. Glad some of you agree with me. I thought I was all alone!

My favorite ports are:
Alaska: Juneau & Glacier Bay
Eastern Caribbean: St. Maarten $ St. Lucia
Western Caribbean: Grand Cayman
Hawaii: Maui & Kauai
I can't wait to add to this list!

15 days on the Star Princess $3998. Mini-suite on Dolphin deck D730. $250 OBC. It was an awesome cruise and worth every penny!

We always book a balcony or junior suite. We love spending time out on the balcony.
Some of our favorites spotting are whales, seals, fish flying and the birds flying all over. We also enjoy our fellow cruisers running to catch the ship (sometimes successful, sometimes not). We try to get up early on port day to see us sailing into port on our private balcony! In the Caribbean, we like to see all the ships heading back on the last night of our cruise. It looks like a parade. On embarkation day, we like to sit on our balcony and watch the crew bringing on our necessities for the trip and also our fellow cruisers hoping aboard. My husband is always looking for Navy and Coast Guard vessels.
That's why we love our balcony!
Lets lighten the mood. Your favourite ship?

Norwegian Breakaway - We sailed past Lady Liberty on the way to Bermuda. On that cruise, all the staff were so friendly and attentive. I loved all the different dining options.
