I finally got my room assignments too. I had spa balconies on the Magic for my back to back cruises in July. So they assigned me balconies on 12 which is near the spa. However, the Venezia doesn't have a thermal spa so a spa room is kind of useless to me. When I asked about a balcony on 7 or 8 instead, my TA called Carnival and they said they didn't have any balconies to assign me the same room for the back to back. So now I have a room on 12, but at least it's the same room for both cruises. I'm not too happy to have paid a higher price on the Magic for a thermal spa room to get a balcony on the Venezia with no thermal spa. Oh well. It's still a cruise.

I had spa balcony rooms reserved on my July 2023 Magic cruises. Since there is no thermal spa on the Venezia, I'm concerned about what room Carnival is going to switch me into. I paid a higher price for my spa balconies and will not be happy with a regular balcony on the Venezia for the same price I paid. Will be curious to see how the ship to ship room swaps work out.

Hi to all,
After my cruise this month, I will finally be Platinum. My cruise in February gives me 4 Free at Sea dinners (I booked this 12 day a long time ago). I know I will be entitled to 2 Platinum dinners and understand that the information for the dinners will be in my stateroom.
My question is this -- when the February cruise opens up for dinner reservations, can I make reservations for the 4 FAS meals as well as the Platinum meals? Or do I have to wait until I'm on the the ship to reserve the Platinum meals?
I understand the limitations of the Platinum meals versus the FAS regarding number of apps, etc.
Thank you for any information.

Hi to all. Does anyone know the email address for the Maitre'd on the Magic? We have set time dining for an upcoming cruise but would like to request a table for 2 rather than a shared table.
Thank you for any responses.

Hi to All,
It's been a while since I cruised on Carnival. I have on-board credit on my account and have already used some for specialty dining and excursions. Can the remainder be applied on the cruise against the daily gratuities?
I'm asking because lately I've been cruising NCL and they don't allow you to apply OBC towards gratuities. I wasn't sure if Carnival's policy is the same as NCL.
Thank you in advance for information.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered but, does anyone know if there will be a main dining room with complimentary meals on the Prima? I certainly don't want to be going to a fee restaurant every night for dinner. I looked at the deck pictures but didn't see a main dining room. Thank you for any information.

I'm a bit confused. I just read an email I recently received from NCL that said I should test 96 hours before embarkation. This is for my cruise February 28, 2022. The email was entitled Pre-Cruise Testing Requirements. Now I'm not sure when to test -- 4 days prior or 2 days prior?

Ocean Blue (1st time dining there recently on Breakaway and it was wonderful)
LeBistro (fabulous filet and my DH really likes the mushroom soup)
Cagney's (very good steaks and desserts)

For those of you who have recently sailed to Bermuda, do you know if the mini-buses are running? I have been to Bermuda a few years ago and there were mini-buses lined up right outside the ship, transporting to Horseshoe Bay and back. They were about $8 per person each way. Thank you for any information.

Has anyone noticed on the Carnival website that there is only one sailing listed departing from New York? We have 2 cruises scheduled for 2022 from New York and they're not even listed. Seems odd that all the NY cruises are already sold out for 2022 and 2023. Anybody have information on this? Thank you.

I apologize in advance for asking this question. But, I am on the 10/31 Bermuda cruise. Is the upload for the Bermuda Travel Authorization as a PDF? I have already scanned our vaccine cards into our computer and saved as PDFs. Is this the correct method for uploading?
Thanks for your help.

I apologize if this was already explained. Is there a website for Eurofins that I can access to register for the test NCL is giving at the pier? We are on the 10/31 Breakaway cruise.
And just wanted to add that the information provided here has been very informative. So thank you to everyone who has provided insight.

Sid, your review and commentary was fantastic. I was on the Horizon from NY in 2018. Brought back good memories. Thank you for taking us along.

I understand that the seaday brunch has the fancy squeezed juices for an upcharge, but do they also have the plain old breakfast juices as in the past -- tomato, orange, etc.? We will be on the Sunrise in a few weeks and we were curious. Thank you.
-
Sorry to ask this question, but with the new brunch menu, are you saying there's no longer orange or tomato juice for no extra charge? We were on the Horizon last year, but they still had the old sea day brunch menu.
We're on the Sunrise in July and just wanted to know what to expect. Thank you.

For anyone who has visited Amber Cove, I have a few questions about the zipline.
How much is it?
Are there attire requirements -- closed shoes, no bathing suits, etc.
And for anyone who went on the zipline, was it fun and worth the money?
Thank you for any information. We will be at Amber Cove mid June on the Horizon. Can't wait for our cruise!

It's actually SHMAITRED@carnival.com
I sailed June 2017 and got a quick and lovely reply from the maître d'.

Thank you to all who responded. We're really looking forward to our huge balcony as well as the amenities of the Haven.

Just wondering from anyone who has stayed in a haven aft penthouse suite, what is the best route to walk from the suite to the haven. We are on floor 10. Thanks for any information.
-
prg2101, thanks for the review. We're in an H6 aft penthouse haven in August, 10th floor. Can't wait! What is the best and easiest walking route from the aft room to the Haven on 16? Thank you.
-
cdec77, thank you for the review. Just so I understand correctly, you paid $32 each way total for everyone (5 people) to taxi to Horseshoe Bay? Thank you for the information regarding the Haven too.
-
Thank you for this review. Rather than posting all the dailies, assuming you kept them, could you just list the day and times for the Rock of Ages shows and the Burn the Floor shows during the week? That would help me plan dinner reservation times for the nights we want to see those shows. Thank you.

Thank you for the information on the shades.

Looking forward to your opinions and comments on the Venezia. I have a number of cruises already booked on her from NY.
