  1. We are cruising Feb 2nd and have two dining reservations made. I wanted to change one of them and notice the restaurant we want only has very late times available.

I'm thinking to try once we get onboard. Is there a central place to make dining reservations or do I need to go directly to the restaurant we want?

    Thank you

Cruising on the Sun if that makes a difference

  2. Thanks for the great review. I've been wanting to try Princess but am afraid it will be too low-vibe for me. I think you put that fear to rest!

But - what about the dress code. We like to be casual on our vacation because we have to dress every day for work. We like to eat in the buffet for most meals, but do dress up for Elegant night and the steak house night.

Would I feel out of place wearing jean capri's and nice top in the evening to stroll the ship - I would NOT be eating in the MDR on the jean capri nights.

Please give me your honest observation. I don't want to feel out of place, I'm generally a rule follower! and that's why we cruise Carnival! ha ha but would love to try something else.

    Thanks

  3. I've learned to go to the steakhouse on port days. I find I eat less during the day when I'm at port than a sea day when all the tempting foods are available all day long.

I have trouble eating everything at the steakhouse as it is, by eating less during the day I'm able to eat more. Be sure and save room for dessert!

So I base the night we go on what we r doing at the port, usually pick the least busy/active port day.

Whichever night I go is my favorite night of the cruise!

  4. We also did the horseback ride at HMC. Loved it! I will agree - it is sometimes hard to hold on with the pressure of the water against your legs - but it was soooo much fun! I was the lead horse (behind the guide) and luckily didn't get the "backwash" of poop in the water. I almost fell off my horse laughing as the others (there were about 8 horses in line) tried to "dodge" the clumps as they floated back - LOL! It was a very exhilirating excursion. It is a long way down the beach - we did see people walking there, but I would leave at least 15 minutes to do so. (it is a 5 minute shuttle ride) Purchased some great pictures the Carnival photographer took of us walking the horses on the beach and galloping in the water.

Do you know if there is a weight limit for this horseback riding excursion?

    Thanks!
