That was me... I wasn't outside the boundary by any means, but these dock worker's let what little bit of power go straight to their head... I got got yelled at leaving this morning as well...
Looked like you were in the way of them driving down the ramp to get to the little building...possibly a bathroom.

Sid, did I just see you get beeped at by a security van while you were taking a picture?

Not the first time I’ve heard of this! Muscle memory is strong haha but definitely need some sort of check to make sure this doesn’t happen!!
we usually put our door on DND while we’re in it or in the balcony, so no one comes in/locks us out.
We spend hours on the balcony, our room would never get serviced if we put on dnd!

??? I spend lots of time on the balcony alone while husband is sleeping in the wee hours of the morning...How would I get locked out there?
You'd have to both be out there and housekeeping locks the door out of habit after telling you they're done.

Public service announcement: Just learned that you can get locked out on the balcony on this ship! 😆 The outside balcony door handle doesn't lock and unlock, only has a grip handle. It was hilarious but probably only because a bathroom crisis (after 3 mojitos) was averted by our agent letting housekeeping know to come back within minutes. 🤭

I've tried making reservations for breakfast, but the whole area is greyd out, and you can't click on any of the times... I've had no problem getting in, but I went at 8:30 am when it wasn't too busy

To clarify, we got the walk in warning for dinner reservations. We haven't needed breakfast reservations since we've hit the Galley every day. Though @Ociana's recommendation for avo toast is intriguing me now.

I think that they're getting closer to capacity, but I haven't specifically asked. It's definitely more crowded than the past few cruises I was on in 2021 and 2022...
We were warned against trying to walk in to a restaurant without reservations since there are "over 2000" on board. I didn't ask for the specific number though.

Thinking about trying it...Is it very "fishy", like bluefish? Love shellfish but other fish, not so much!
Not fishy at all, we thought it tasted like lobster.

WOW everyone is loving on the salt Dorado. It was the only thing I didn't eat on the cruise because I didn't like it. And I love fish.
This dorade tasted a lot like lobster to us with the butter sauce.

Just confirming - the ship is docked at the Punta Langosta Terminal today? Thanks for the review, will be doing this itinerary next year so it's super helpful!
Yep, that's where we are.

Your mojito issue and Sid's early issues with margaritas: seems odd on a ship/cruise line that should be way better at such things. Is it a fluke?
The best mojitos I've had on a ship have been made from bartenders who are from the Caribbean. They KNOW mojitos and my bartenders so far have not been from the Caribbean. It could also be a bar stock issue. Twice they have used a cloudy lime juice concoction instead of fresh limes. Not exactly sure since I haven't pressed them on the issue. On Celebrity, I could ask for my "skinny" mojito using diet sprite instead of simple syrup and soda, alas the only diet soda this ship has is coke.

how did you get liquor? Are you a Rockstar?
Feels weird to say yes to being a rockstar, but we are in a Sweet Aft Suite and our awesome agent arranged the extras needed for our cocktails.

So, after the guy asked twenty times about the dish he wanted, the manager agreed to just make it, because he wasn't going to let it go...
The bratty kid got what he wanted. That's too bad.

What is the bartender's name...sailing soon and will be looking for a good bartender!
I'd like to know his name too. I was definitely not cool enough for the Dock House bartender around the time you were there for lunch, Sid. Wondering if it's the same guy.

Still pretty sparse in here. A lot of the "late night party people" are probably still sleeping... I'm hoping to make it past ten o'clock tonight we'll see...
Me too, Sid. We're booked for the Ship Show but it's a crap shoot whether we'll make it.

HUGE Improvement in The Galley (The Flags really work?)
in Virgin Voyages
Posted
Just off the SL yesterday (May 26) and was pleasantly surprised by the service in the Galley. We weren't sure how it would go after months of reading CC posts. Our morning routine was to be up around 7a and go to the gym, then grab a table on the outside aft deck on 15 which didn't have flags. Shirin (I think that was her name) would come over quickly and get our orders or tell us to let her know when we were ready to order something.
