  1. I always have at least one bottle of wine in my carry on. I usually wait for it to go through the x-ray scanner....where I am usually told that I have a bottle of wine in my bag. I always say, yes I do, where do I go to pay the NCL fee, and am directed to a table that is set up for that reason...I pay my fee, and get my sticker and off I go :)

that is not to say that one more then one occasion, the table I have been directed to, had no one manning the "station" in which case I just continued on with my bag. As I don't bring the wine to the dinning room, and just use it in my stateroom...I can sometimes "get away" with out paying the $15 fee. But it makes no difference to me...I am bringing on a wine I enjoy, and don't mind paying the fee.....if need be...LOL

  2. IMHO booking direct with NCL does not increase the chances of getting that lucky call from the upgrade fairy....

What booking directly with NCL does do, is that they will not have to go through you TA in order to offer you an upgrade or and upsell.

If your TA is already not responding to your emails, it is likely that she/he would not contact you re and upgrades or upsells either

If you can cancel and rebook the same cruise for the same $$$ then the choice is yours :)

I always book directly with NCL....but many others on this board use a TA whom they trust, and do amazingly well. Me, I just like the pleasure of picking up the phone and calling my PCC with what ever question/problem I have. I don't like dealing with a "middle man" and as I do my own research, and know exactly what dates, cabin, ship, and price I want I find it just easier to deal with NCL directly

  3. Just got back yesterday from Bermuda, sailed on the Breakaway.

Wanted to thank everyone here for all the info on Coco Reef.

We went on Friday, our last day in Bermuda and had such a fantastic time, that I didn't want to leave :) (ended up getting back on the boat at 4:15, posted time was 4:30)

I would highly recommend this for those who have been to Bermuda before, and are looking for a quiet out of the way place to enjoy the sun and surf.

Easy to get to...ferry to Hamilton...taxi to the resort. The resort called for the taxi when we were ready to leave.

Perfect way to relax while in Bermuda. The only thing I would do different would be to book it for the 2nd day, so there would be no rush to get back to the ship.

    Loved it

  4. I am pretty sure that every cruise has them. You should check the dailies that come to your room, they should have the time and place listed in them.

But i have found that they are not well attended (at least on most of my cruises)

But most times all it takes is one other person :)

    Good luck!
