We will be sailing on the Viking Pride--Paris to Normandy in June. I understand that there is an included excursion around Paris the morning of the day the ship sails. Can you tell me what sights are included in that tour? With the limited time we have in Paris-arriving early the day before- I'd like to plan to see sights on our own that are not covered during the Viking excursion.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Looks llike we won't have any trouble finding things to do in Cologne.

We are traveling on the Viking Var from Amsterdam to Basel in November. The ship is docked in Cologne for the full day on that Monday which is the day most museums are closed. Can anyone give me alternative suggestions for what to do with the free time in the afternoon (other than drink beer)? Has anyone taken a train to Dusseldorf or Bonn?
