  1. just returned, people worrying about what to wear at the gala dinner, don't, we saw 2 dicky bow ties, half a dozen jackets, most of the men wore an open shirt and trousers, ladies in dresses, trousers etc. all looked lovely, relax and enjoy. ladies with long hair or problem fingers may need to take own hairdryer, the cabin ones are adequate but not too powerful and you have to keep your finger on the button for it to work.

  2. thanks for advice, now have to think about packing, unpacking and repacking, sticking with casual but am sure to take way too much, think i'll have to take half of it out, looking forward to the malacca cruise

  3. Large case will fit under the bed. If it doesn't slide under (because of the bedframe) have someone hold the end of the bed up!

I agree, travel light but I find shoes are the culprit and take up so much room so we usually take one large and one medium case.

3 weeks to go and the travel agent tells us our flight arrangements have been altered, instead of arriving at lunch time on the day of the cruise we find we will now be arriving at 5.30am, expect probably 7 am. ish by the time we pick our bags up, does anyone have any ideas as to where is available to leave luggage whilst having a look around singapore till time to board the gemini.

    thanks for replies.

  4. hi everybody, i'm new to posting and cruising, have enjoyed reading the information you all give, very helpful,

we will be on the gemini, straits of malacca cruise in april 2008, noticed on the itinerary it didn't mention transfers, can anyone help with the best way to get from the airport to the port and the approximate cost involved,

also, reading the posts am not too sure about taking your own spirits onboard, is there a corkage fee involved

    thanks for any replies
