Can someone explain to me why on our April 12 cruise next year on quantum if the seas the earliest they are taking reservations for my time dining is 7pm? Previously we always went about 6pm. I called RCCL but was given a disinterested customer service operator who just told me it starts at 7pm.
I ask as the shows are on at 8pm and 10pm. The first one is a rush to get to if we dine at 7 and the later is too late.
Also from what I have been reading people are queuing up over 30 minutes before the doors open even if they have a booked slot so is shows the initial 7pm is too late. -
Can anyone tell me is the Mytime dining is on the ground floor of the main dining roomer up on the 1st smaller floor which is around the edge of the ground floor?

We are cruising on April 7th and we booked through Webjet Cruises who were not able to give me any information that I asked for about the cruise and the info is not on the RCCL Web Site.
What time is First Sitting Dinner?
In the Dining Room is the bottom level used for My Time or for First/Second Sitting? I like to be on the bottom larger level rather than upstairs on the sides?
Do they have any well known production currently running for shows? Like Cats etc?
Where is the Diamond Lounge located? Is there a nightly free drinks? and what drinks are included?
Is the covered pool only for adults?
How tall does a child need to be to use the new water slide?
Do Diamond get priority getting off using the tenders?

If we wish to reserve each night of a 12 night cruise on Explorer Of The Seas for MTD, do we have to do 12 individual reservations?

I read a refurb happened in 2018. True?
Ship’s scheduled for 2018 drydock refurbishment resulted in the following deck plan changes:
On Sports Deck 13, the RCI’s signature waterslides “Cyclone” and “Typhoon” were installed (next to the FlowRider simulator). On Spa Deck 12 (aft), the new “Slashaway Bay” kids aqua park was added. This is an interactive water play area with cannons and geysers, replacing the old Outdoor Youth Area (aka “back deck”).The new water park and the duo of waterslides were first introduced on Liberty of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas (Oasis-class).
Is this correct?

Looking to cruise on this ship next year from Australia to Fiji. Some questions
a) Does it have a shallow kids pool or only the main pools which are about 1.2 metres deep. We have a 4 year old.
b) Is there a separate water slide for kids that are small or just the main ones?
c) Is there a water park?
d) Does the 4 year old eat with us in the MDR?
e) Can the 4 year old go to shows at night (early one!)?

Based on my family who has recently been on the Splendida, MSC do not seem to restrict how much duty free cigarettes and alcohol is bought onto the ship. This in turn results in a lot of drunk europeans who smoke excessively on the ship. Needless to say my family had a balcony and mainly spent their time there or in the port. It was a week long cruise and few people spoke english on the cruise anyway. If you are happy to use MSC as a floating hotel and not use the public areas much then this is fine otherwise choose elsewhere!!

I have read that there is a 7 Euro / Person / Day Service Charge added to your shipboard account which is payable at the end of the cruise. We are considering a 7 nighter Western Med trip from Rome. Is this Charge adjustable or is this set as a charge no matter what you think of the service? I cannot find the answer to this anywhere on the MSC web site.

Does anyone think it is about time P & O had their own loyalty program?
With Pacific Sun, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Pearl and Pacific Jewel, I think that is enough ships to have a loyalty program.
Give the loyal cruisers rewards for continuing to sail with P & O.
Linda
RCCL have a great loyalty program. Once you have reached 10 cruises you are gold. You enjoy complimentary nightly drinks together with further discounts on balcony and above even after you have found your best price with a TA. This alone has meant we only now book on RCCL as to have 10 cruises in a lifetime under your belt offers a good reward by the company. So look out PO I say as RCCL are breathing down your neck in the pacific now.
