The meat on CG is very mediocre.

At home we buy Prime grade beef and either smoke it or grill it to medium rare. Only the very top of the line restaurants are comparable. And sorry, CG is not one of them.

On the other hand, CG is a lot cheaper than a top of the line steakhouse.  Seriously, multiples.

Actually it's getting up there now! I suppose if you give the dining room meal say a $25 value then add$39 for CG that's $64 I would pay an additional $20 for a Prime steak.

The lobster and Chilean Sea Bass at the Crown Grill are fabulous for non-meat eaters.  My DH loves the lamb chops and it is not way too much food.

But, of all the specialty restaurants on Princess, The Catch by Rudi is the most outstanding and Sabatini’s would be my next choice.
The new recipe they are using for their French fries on Princess is just wow!  I ask for 3-5 fries on a small plate as I really shouldn’t eat them but they are so incredible that I limit myself to a small taste instead of a side.

If you are wanting a really special meal though for a just bit more than at one of the specialty dining venues, I think the Ultimate Balcony dinner for $110 per couple has to be on your list.

Being Greek I love Lamb chops, I just figured if the Ribeye was that bad they probably would butcher the chops, however on your husband's recommendation I'll try the chops next month.

The shuttle from FLL to the hotel has never been free. It used to be $2.00 per room reservation then it was $5.00 per room reservation. Things change so best to call the hotel directly to get some current info.

We stay at this hotel often as recently as this past March...great location and good rates booking it with ValueTrips.

Easy to get a taxi from FLL to the hotel should be approx $12.00 but make sure you use the meter never a flat rate.

We actually have it booked for another stay this month...$119.00 per night with VT.

Be sure to clear your Casino account before the last night.  That will not roll over.

I would expect the Room Service fee will need to be activated for the second leg of your cruise.

Princess hasn't yet figured out how to finite individual folios for "exceptions".

    Good point on Casino thx,

  5. Just curious, if your on a BTB does Princess charge the service fee on each leg or only once? Not that important but curious. We are doing our first BTB in 30 days, the stock perks staff said I should expect the full $250 for a 14 day but I only got $100 per leg.

  6. Leave in less than a week on a 10 day Alaska cruise (our first as elite) had an offer in for a club class mini from our reg mini. I get a email an hr ago from TA that we got an upgrade to aft Penthouse! Our first visit from upgrade fairy ever. So she does exist.
