We are looking at the South America cruise on the NCL Sun for March 2019.

We would start in Buenos Aires and cruise all the way west to Miami.

How is the average weather and humidity going to be??

We are on the spirit now and they didn't tell us about the tax which is 10% until we were on board. It applies to any beverage even on the u b package and all inc when you are in any Spanish waters,even when going through the Gibraltar straight. We asked to see the vat certificate and number issued by Spain but they say it goes to Miami with the tax money collected which seems very strange! Perhaps this is just a con to get more money from us, who knows. It would be great if everyone boycotts the Spanish cruise and books with another line in protest!

We just returned from the Pride of America in November. We got to the ship around 11:15 and practically walked right on! Rooms were not ready until about 2 pm but no lines and no waiting in the terminal.

We were a little disappointed in the food and we are Platinum cruisers on Norwegian. Also the staff aren't quite as good as the foreign folks.

Great cruise-the tubing adventure on Kauai was the best-book early!

Get adventurous and take the vaporetto to St. Marks square then wander the streets around there to see the real Venice!

If you don't have a fee (we were flying to Dusseldorf and had a fee) you just go to the check in window. The window is only open 2 hrs before the flight so if you get there more than 2 hours out, you will have to wait to check your bag. They have a board to watch that tells you what window to go to-they use revolving windows.

Hi- we are looking at doing a NCL cruise next March/April from Singapore to Dubai and then Dubai to Venice.

We are a little hesitant about the heat issues. Also, if the ship has mostly Asian passengers will all the food be Asian??

Any help, thoughts or cautions??

We just ended our 28 day transatlantic in Venice on 5-14-16.

Terrific cruise on the NCL Jade.

Caution- the airport and parking lot is under construction! The ship's shuttle bus had to drop us off about 1/4 mile away! No Notice of this and some people had a hard time with this.

They do not have check-in windows for each airline so they take turns using available windows. We had to wait for 2 hours standing to check into our flight for Germany. No place to sit, just stand and watch the board to know which window to go to.

We did not know that you had to FIRST go to the "ticket" window to pay for your luggage. After all that standing and waiting, we were told to get out of line, go down the airport to pay for luggage and then go to the back of the line! Very upsetting. Thankfully an Air Berlin ticket agent took pity on us and had us come back to her window instead of going to the back!

Be prepared if going from Venice airport. They said it will be like that for a year!

Carlos Bake shop is not free.I personally did not think they were very good as they come in frozen and not worth the price.

We loved the Jade..very Polynesian in décor, great staff and buffet. Have been on the Dawn many times and it is also a nice ship, but I would go for the Jade!

Thanks for the input. Expedia got our flight refunded and booked us on a later one so now we don't have to rush! I think we will take the NCL excursion that drops at the airport.

We are very excited about Krakow as my great grandfather was from there. I didn't know that until I did my family tree! Hope we run into each other. Will you be at the meet and greet??

I had a 3 pm flight booked from Copenhagen to Krakow and the airline changed it to 11 am departure. The ship docks at 7 am on May 11th, anyone think I can make the 11:00 am flight if we walk off? We are Platinum so we will have priority debark.

Thank you! We are in 0065 right above yours which is supposed to be the same but NCL just verified that ours has been changed to a one room suite like the ones on 12 fwd on most of the ships. It will still be nice tho-with the big balcony!
