I have completed the first part of the app. Can anyone who has completed the full thing (the part you have to do within 72 hours) give me some idea of what it entails? Long and tedious or short and sweet? I suspect the latter. Also, I did have some trouble booking a CovidTest as seems to be required in case I am selected for a random test. I didn't try too hard since we don't sail til late July but any hints?

Nor sure where you are flying into if Seattle Curative is free as they will bill your insurance company. they only release so many days at a time so have to watch. Just booked our on May 29, we sail June 5

On return out of Vancouver I went to Emeds and bought 6 tests. with 2 day ship and tax $184. That's about 30.00 a test. YCVR wants $79pp to leave the country back to US

  2. KOTOR

I also did a Private Guide tour in Croatia which also was amazing. the tour I booked with them was "Unesco Towns of Kotor, Budva, Perast and Bay of Kotor.  Our guide was George and one of the bests guides we have had.

Our first stop was Perast which is protected by Unesco. It is being restored and was probably one of the quaintest places I have been. We took a boat ride (which was 5 euros extra) over to Perast Gospe od Skarpjela. It is an amazing man made island, made by fisherman from Perast, shaped like a boat with a church built on it. Highly recommend doing this.

Kotor was an amazing city. You have to pay 2euro each to go into the walled city but definitely worth it. The whole town was amazing. I could have spent hours there.

We did not have time to go to Budva but that was ok as these other 2 places we amazing.

Again Private Guides did an amazing job. There guides in both cities were the best. I give them 10 stars.

  3. I have just returned home for doing to cruises with ports of call in Dubrovnik and Kotor.

I did private tours in both places with Private Guides of Croatia.

I Dubrovnik our guide was Daniela and she was probably one of the most knowledgeable guides we ever had.

The tour I arranged in Dubrovnik was "Walking Tour of Dubrovnik & Panorama Drive-town of Cavat.

The panoramic view was amazing, but we could have spent a little less time there. We then went to Cavat which was a really neat small town that sat on the water. We had plenty of time to eat lunch or just explore. I chose to climb 177 steps to a cemetery on the top of a hill. It was beautiful with a great view.

Onto Dubrovnik, one of my favorite places. Daniela knew everything about the history. She was wonderful. The only problem was it rained the whole time so we couldn't explore on our own when the tour was over. I would highly recommend.

Private Guides was so easy to work with and Ana was wonderful. Would definitely use them again privateguidesteam@gmail.com

  5. Hi. My husband and I are brand new diamond level passengers and I'm pretty sure I read on here somewhere that they load your seapass card with 3 free drinks per evening. Now is that only if you go to the diamond lounge or are we able to use them at different bars on the ship. Just trying to get myself straight before we cruise next Sunday. I'm so excited!!! Thanks for the info

You can pretty much use the 3 on your seapass anywhere on the ship during the the time the diamond lounge is open. In the diamond lounge you can drink all you want. They say you can't take drinks out of the lounge but we have never ever been stopped.

They do have a list of what type of beer and liquor they let you have for your drinks.

  6. My husband David and I (Barbara) will be doing the b2b on this cruise.

    We are from Indianapolis.

I have friends that are now doing both cruises and he gave me all his tours he booked, DIY tours and Car rental day excursions. He is amazing at organizing these things and does his homework. I have done a few of his tours on a couple of TransAtlantic crossings. I hope to be in touch with him when he gets home and find out how anything went. He does set up the tours and takes responsibility for collecting the money and any other aspect. I don't know that I want to do that but if anyone would be interested in what he did I will be glad to post it. I just may follow his itinerary. Like I said he does his homework and checks everything out.

  7. When we cruised on the Radiance in 2012 in a balcony cabin there was no kettle. I would be take take thermal travel mugs and fill them up with boiling water from the Windjammer or Park Cafe. You can also order boiling water and coffee from room service.

I don't think they allow them. Same reason they don't provide irons or let you bring them on. Fire hazard

  8. Yes, the biergarden is now open from outside Tivoli without entrance.

Is the flight 07:05 with Air Berlin, because 1 hour before should be enough.

The trip with car takes around 15 minutes so 05:30 would be the latest departure time from your apartment, then you also have some time to spare.

If you are talking about the city pass you can buy it from all stations.

Is it however the Copenhagen Card you are talking about you have to visit the central station.

    Thank you Danish Viking

  9. Looking at all the information on the city pass since we will be in Copenhagen for 3 full days it would probably make sense for us to purchase them, however, it looks like you can only get them at the airport, main station or tourist center at Tivoli Gardens. Is there anywhere else to purchase them? We are staying in an apartment at Sonder Boulevard 42, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 1720. Wherever that is.

Thanks for any help you can give me. The woman we are renting from told us the easiest way to this address from the port is taxi, even tho more expensive but less confusing.

Thank you for any help you can offer

    Barbara:confused:

  10. We have a flight that leaves at 7:05am on May 5 so we need to leave our apt. at 5:00am I am guessing???? Can we make a reservation ahead of time to have a taxi pick us up at that time? Any taxis companies you can recommend Danish Viking? Thanks for all your information

    Barbara
