Do they still serve hors d'oeuvres at happy hour in the Crow's Nest?

Could someone please tell me if the self-service laundry machines on the Amsterdam use quarters or do you use your room key to operate? Thanks

We did this cruise except from Boston back to Boston 3 years ago. I enjoyed the cruise but seeing the same identical ports was not that great. However, the weather was good in some ports going and not so good on the return so at least we had a second chance visiting the ports with better weather.

We have sailed on HAL to Hawaii and the South Pacific and will be doing it again in a few weeks. We love the sea days. Obviously it depends on what you like to do. My husband and I participate in as many of the daily activities as we can such as sporting events, trivia, bingo, cooking demos, various games, movies, etc. In addition we walk every morning around the promenade. We also partake in the happy hours and enjoy the entertainment. Actually we sometimes have a hard time fitting everything in our daily schedule. The crew will have lots of activities planned for sea days and it is up to the individual to pick and choose which ones they would like to participate in if any. Some people just like to lounge around which is also great. We also like the size of the HAL ships as it is easy to meet people and make lasting friendships. The library is stocked full of games, puzzles and books that are available for use to I can't imagine you would need to bring anything extra. Hope this helps you and I know you will have a good time.

That makes sense. I guess I didn't think about that. I understand the concept of how guarantee cabins are set aside and that they cannot sell more cabins than are available. Thank you for all your comments

I am booked on the 48 day South Pacific cruise on the Amsterdam 30 Sep 2016 and have booked an Inside Guarantee. I have been keeping track of the available cabins for several months by jotting down the cabin numbers and comparing them from week to week. Yesterday the various websites including HAL indicated there are no more inside cabins for sale. I checked how many outside cabins were available and was shocked to see the number had nearly tripled from a couple of days ago and when I checked the cabin numbers they were nearly entirely different cabins from those that were available before. How is this possible? Does anyone have any idea who so many cabins would show up available and why are the cabin numbers different from just a few days ago? Mainly just curious but find it really odd.

I am looking at a cruise leaving from San Diego and ending in Sydney. The one way fares are higher than roundtrip when I try to book myself. But when I got a quote from the cruiseline for both air and cruise, they were able to give me a wonderful price on the air. I am concerned about booking the air through the cruiseline as I have heard numerous bad comments about booking this way. Why can they give me such a better price for the air? Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

My husband and I are getting on in San Diego for this cruise. We are disagreeing about your comment regarding how many people will be getting on board in San Diego. Can you clarify your numbers? Are there 1200 on board now and if so how many will be getting on in San Diego? Or will there be a total of 1200 when we leave San Diego? Thanks
