  1. My dear Grandma cruised with us @90 years old. She loved watching with indoor games- such as trivia and enjoyed playing a few of the other indoor games. She is not handicapped but we felt that the long walk to the boat on the first day would be too much. But the port of Miami had an area where we sat until a wheel chair pusher too us to the VIP area to check in and then pushed the chair all the way to the ship. We all had a wonderful time. Enjoy!!!

  2. I was just trying to window shop shore excursions for an upcoming cruise and I received the same message. I am sure that they will have this fixed soon. If I were you- I would wait a couple of days and If they don't have it fixed I would call carnival or my PVP and book my shore excursions with them.

  3. Hello Everyone,

I wanted to post a review of Premier Cruise Parking. Not to be confused with the rip of joint Premier Ventures. Premier Cruise Parking is located at 1415 NE 2nd Ave. Miami, FL 33135. I made my reservation by phone by calling Chris at 1800 435-3195. The Parking Garage was easy to find. We were instructed to drive up to the top floor. By the time we got out of our car and got our suitcases out- the shuttle to the port was there. The shuttle is not glamorous but functional. I made sure to sit in the front seat so I could enjoy some breeze from the window. As air conditioning is useless with the doors opening every 5 minutes. The shuttle driver took us to the port. Pick up from the port took about 1 hr. Pricing was $9 a day because of "peak travel" including a shuttle to and from the port for 4 people.

  4. Sorry double post w/ a few different questions

I have a few questions about HAL that I hope someone can answer. We are considering sailing on the ms Zuiderman. Our only frame of reference for cruising is Carnival. First of all Carnival is always trying to sell you something aboard~ drinks, jewelry, spa services..are HAL cruises like this too? Do the rooms only offer queen beds or are they kings? How big are the showers compaired to Carnival? I know HAL doesn't have water slides but how many pools and hot tubs does this ship offer? Is it true that there is no lunch room trays to carry your food? And finally, is there ice cream available 24/7? Oops one more is there trivia games aboard?

Thank you for your response and any other advice.

  5. Hello everyone,

My Husband (41), me (38), Mom (68), Dad (72 . Are considering cruising aboard the ms Zuiderdam. We have only cruised aboard Carnival cruises before. So, that is my frame of reference for cruising.

Some of my questions about HAL are...are the beds king size or queen size? Is it true that there are no food trays in the lunch room? Carnival is always trying to sell you something..spa, drinks, jewelry..etc. Do all cruise lines do this? I know there is no water slide but is there trivia games? I read that this ship is scheduled for dry dock this year. When is it's out of dry dock?

Finally, is there free ice cream 24/7? Thank you for your answers and any other advice for those considering Half.

  7. Hello

I HAVE had something stolen from a carnival stateroom. At the end of Novemeber 2008 my husband and I were on the Carnival Splendor. After ariving on ship we ate lunch and walked around for a while. After a hour or so I decided that we need to go to the room so I could drop off my big ol' heavy purse and my husband could drop off his hoodie. And then we could walk around somemore. We dropped off the stuff and walked around. About 1 and half hours later we returned to the room to see if the luggage had arrived. It had. When I walked in the room I noticed right away that my PURSE WAS NOT IN THE ROOM . I immeditaly found the room stewart and asked her if he had moved my purse. She accused me of not being in the right room. I pointed out that my room key worked. She then told me that Carnival is not responsible for items in the room and that I should go to the pursers/information desk and file a lost report. I did right away. Time passed...Securty arrives searches all my other luggage for my purse..I guess they thought I had packed my purse and forgot?? Thirty minutes later they find my purse. I searched it and found that everything is in there credit cards, passports, Drivers license, medicine EXCEPT my husbands Nintendo DS. The games and charger were in there but not the DS. I was very happy we had our passports back and I kissed them. Securty then searched all our luggage looking for the Nintendo DS :(. Needless to say it was never found and on the last day of the cruise carnival sent/gave us a letter saying

On behalf of Carnival Crusie lines, we thank you for choosing the Carnival splendor for your vacation. Our guests are important to us we appreciate your patronage. Carnival Cruise lines guest relations Department 3655 NW 87th Ave. Miami, flordia 33178-2428

No mention of how they found my purse...

Moral of the story...from now on I will put my purse in the safe and my husbands wallet in the safe and all of our medicine. And if it's not nailed down or in the safe consider it steal able.
