  1. I purchased the $99 one person thermal spa package for our 12 night Anthem cruise in April 2016. I purchased it as we got on the ship outside the buffet. The girls from the spa were there going over highlites of the spa . I gave one girl my name and room number, she gave me a green star sticker and I put it in my wallet for safe keeping as we hadn't been cleared to go to the cabins. Your key cards are in your cabin when you get on board. I put the green star sticker on my seapass when I got it .

I used the thermal spa daily, and sometimes a couple of times a day.

There are 6 heated tiled beds for your use. Most of the time they are being used while I was there . There is one rain shower with hot or cold water and colored lights depending on the setting you use. There is one steam sauna that seats approximately 12 people. 2 days we were not able to use the steam room as it was set at such a high heat that it was too dangerous to be in the room.

The other room is a dry sauna . It seats 6 people. It is not a standard or conventional dry sauna like others I am familiar with on other ships. This one has heat panels in the walls behind the seats. They glow red and heat the room but not to a sufficient temperatureIMO. The thermal spa was nice and it was used by the same people over and over. I did hear that they only sell the passes to the first 100 people but I'm not sure if that is true.

If I had to choose to do it over again I would probably pass and not spend the money, even though there is no sauna or changing room in the gym like on other ships.

Good luck with you choice and no matter what have a great cruise.

  2. we are on the March 18 sailing and when we did our cruise planner we were able to make a reservation for the show in Two70. We made reservations for everything, even though we might not do the activity. We reserved all the shows we could. if you make reservations for NorthStar, do it in the Morning, and do it on a sea day. The North Star does operate while in port but it only goes up and down it does not move left or right over the edge of the ship, for safety reasons.

You best bet is to make all the reservations you can. Even if you don't attend you know you have a seat when you need one.

  3. Hi. We will be leaving for aruba tomorrow.

We are planning on having our 20 th anniversary dinner

At passions on the beach at the Amsterdam hotel .

Look it up on the internet. Prices are on the high side but the place gets great reviews. Can't wait for a nice glass of champagne and a beautiful sunset.

    Have fun

I'll try to remember to post here when we return, and I'll let you know how it is.

    Thanks
