Can you use it for the thermal suite purchased prior to sailing?

I have a question about what to pack
we will be on the Kiningsdam January 4-25, 2025. Do you mainly take layers?
jeans for days and dress slacks for evening? Long sleeve shirts?
just trying to have an idea on type of clothing
any information will be appreciated
I enjoyed your daily trip reports

January 4-25, 2025 - Koningsham - Texas Hikers

We will be in Cabo on January 6 from Noon until 6:00 p.m. That isn't a long time.
We are interested in whale watching and hoped there would be recommendations for tour operators. We rarely take the ship excursions as we find them to be really crowded.
I have looked at some of the whale watching tours, but they do not seem to offer tours that would fit in this time frame.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
We are from Texas and are active. Of course, we really would like to see the whales, but if this is not possible, please make other suggestions.
Thank you

We are on the January 4-January 28, 2025 Baja Peninisula and Circle of Hawaii cruise. In trying to schedule excursions, etc., does the ship stay on San Diego time or do we change time every time we change time zones?
We are in Cabo from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.. Is that the Cabo time or the San Diego time?
I know this is a crazy question, but on a recent cruise we stayed on what they called "ship time" which was the time when we embarked or CST throughout the cruise.
I thought there are so many of you who have taken this cruise in the past, you would know.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Another K'dam Hawaii thread. 😁 So envious of your itinerary. I'm on the 1/11/2025 sailing but I was just sitting here thinking I should cancel and rebook as the 24-night beginning 1/4 since I haven't done that Mexican portion. Would prefer your itinerary but I have to work by early February.
No Gen Xer here. I'm a Boomer and still working (part-time, seasonally during tax season which is now-4/15 and again from early August-Oct 15). Got to pay for my travels somehow!
I did a side-to-side on Carnival Magic & Eurodam last month (contracted Covid again (caught it during my Zuiderdam Alaska B2B in June 2022)). Had several issues on Eurodam that tainted the whole trip a bit. Not stopping me from sailing HAL again, though.
I'm currently booked in an interior but considering the solo OV. My main concern is the location. I do have some issues with motion although Ginger Root has almost cured me. Still. Not sure I want to be that far forward for 24 nights. Personally, if I don't have a balcony (which I rarely do), I prefer an interior because I love the dark cabin for sleeping. Keeping the price down helps since I need to watch my budget if I want to sail 3-4 times a year!
Hadn't decided on where to stay pre-cruise. I'll definitely have a look at the Best Western.
Looking forward to following along. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
We are on the 1/4/25 -23 day cruise!! Can hardly wait!

This was our entertainment two nights ago, and she is good. She is playing another set on Friday.

Thanks for your post. I was wondering where the cruises to Hawaii for 2024 had gone. We plan to sail to Hawaii for our 50th anniversary. Look forward to looking at the schedule published on the 21st

I am not unhappy with my PCC, and it isn’t that he is not getting back to me. The email is being returned stating the email is not recognized
I’ll call, as suggested, to be sure he is no longer there and then ask to be reassigned.
thanks everyone for your help.

I have emailed my Personal Consultant and the email comes back. I guess this means he has retired.
Can someone recommend someone from whom they have had good service?
I guess they did not distribute his clients to a new consultant.
Puzzling customer service.
Thank you in advance.

We sail Wednesday, March 16.
Am I correct that we can do the at-home Navica test any time on Monday -- two days before we sail?
We fly to Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday and would like to take the test on Monday so we have time for a back-up if it doesn't work.
Just want to be sure before I start the process of testing at home.
Also, are they open 24 hours a day or do they have certain hours?
Sorry if this is a duplicate question, but just want to be sure.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks everyone. I had planned 15% to 20% depending on service provided. So, I think I am in line with what you all have said.

Barbados
There will just be a driver
We will not know if it will be the owner or not until we get there.

I have a question about tipping the driver for a private tour.
If the tour is for 5 hours and you are the only couple, how much would you tip -- a percentage or a flat amount?
Would appreciate your advice.

How did you make your arrangements - email or calling?
Also, if for some reason we are not able to port, how do you cancel?

Congratulations! We, too, are on the March 6th sailing. Look forward to meeting you at the Meet & Greet.
This is our first time to not book a "Guarantee". In the past, we have been fortunate to have had nice upgrades. But we have never sailed on the Koningsdam and wanted a cabin with a little deeper veranda. So, we took the plunge and booked a specific cabin mid-ship. Had a lot of help with knowledgeable Cruise Critic members in the selection. Thanks again to them.
Can't wait!! Even though we are in Central Texas, and our cold is like a mild winter to many of you, we are looking forward to a nice get away.

I use packing cubes and also plastic laundry bags. The packing cubes are wonderful -- not just for cruises.
We take a "hiking" vacation every year -- national parks -- and we always rent a house for a week. You just transfer the cubes from your suitcase to the dresser drawer. It's great!!

Tour driving apps - The good, bad and ugly
in Hawaii

Is the app dependent on cell service. I thought I read somewhere that the cell service on the Road to Hana was spotty We have Verizon for our cell service. Will we have trouble with the GypsyApp on the various islands due to lack of cell service?
