  1. I'd like to add my  2 cents to this discussion.  I was on the Sunrise from July 10 to July 18.  I read some of the negative reviews before I left and started to get nervous.  I can't say it was my best cruise or my worst cruise, but it was ok.  The ship was on the small side, which needed some getting used to as I have recently been on very big ships.  The main problem on the Sunrise is the configuration of the ship.  It was always difficult getting around, up a flight to go down and around to get to the dining room! The ship was way over crowded, too many people for the size of the ship.  There was always a long line at the buffet, regardless of what time it was!  With that being said, we altered our plans to make our experience a good one.  Went to the pool early to get chairs, avoided the buffet and had the sit down breakfast or brunch (which was very good).  Got to shows early to make sure we had a seat.  The food in the dining room was very good, excellent choices every day.  Guys burgers were great! The entertainment was just ok.  A disappointment was that the Comedy Show (The Punch liner) had poor air conditioning.  We went there a few times and it was a little too warm to stay for the show.  Carnival needs to work on the air circulation on the ship.  There were several areas where the air conditioning was not working the way it should be!!  They also were not organized when it came to the muster drill.  They didn't start it for at least a half hour after the scheduled time.  Just hope they are better organized in the case of a real emergency!  All in all, we still had a nice time!
