Yes it was free on Discovery for everyone. I am not elite either. I was hoping it was free on her sister ships for the same reason as you…. Carry on only.  We will still do our own but will go with the expectation of paying. 

I recently sailed on Discovery Princess where self service laundry was free including detergent and dryer sheets.  Is this perk available on any of the other ships?

It sounds like they want to keep it more organized than the cruise we did earlier this year. They told us that anyone with no checked bags could disembark as soon as the ship was cleared. While it seemed like a bit of a 'free for all' it went quickly and smoothly. Thanks again everyone!

Earlier this year we were on a different cruise line and were able to disembark first due to not having any checked luggage. We will be on the Ruby Princess in September and wondering if this is how it works with Princess as well. Is it standard among all cruise lines?

Here's how you check if the gratuities are showing up...

1. Go to My Princess then click on 'Cruise Personalizer'

2. Click on 'Payments and Credits'

3. Click on 'Optional Gratuity Pre Payment'

The complimentary gratuities should show up there if you received them.

We booked 3 days ago through our TA and the gratuities were not showing up. She dealt with Princess directly and got them to add it to the booking. There was also only $300 showing up as shipboard credit from Princess which should have been $350 which our TA got added. She was told it was a glitch in the system as others have said.

Even if Princess can give you a better rate you should be given the option before they assume anything and discuss it with you first.
