  1. It disappeared because it sold out!

    It may/may not appear again.

IF you want it always book it when it first shows up.

    Don't wait.

The thing is, it was showing up, but said "Sold Out", I have been checking so I can buy it when it was available. The past couple of weeks, it just was not there at all.

  2. I have a NYE cruise booked and FTTF used to be an option (although sold out) when I looked at Shore Excursions, but now it is not there.

Does this mean they are not releasing FTTF for my cruise, or is it still sold out? It is just weird that it was showing in the past, but just recently disappeared.

    Any ideas??

  3. I have seen a magician in the dining room (and Chef's Table) on all my Carnival cruises. Some have been better than others, but it is always fun to watch. We had on on our New Years Eve cruise last year, so it is not just a summer thing.

  4. Just pulled up my vacation summary for my cruise leaving Saturday and noticed there is an item under Gifts and More Summary. I did not purchase anything, and seeing as i booked direct with NCL,no TA to gift me anything.

It is for $12,any idea what it could be???

This is the only place i see it currently.

  5. Just wanted to pass this along since it was news to me. We have several birthdays during our cruise from our roll call. I emailed ncl to find out about getting a cake. Of course they have the cakes you can order from the cake boss and cakes on the website. But in addition to that they have these

-1/4 sheet cake for $40.00 - serves up to 20 guests

    -1/2 sheet cake for $55.00 - serves up to 40 guests -

    full sheet cake

for $70.00 - serves up to 70 guests

Cakes can be vanilla or chocolate cake with custard, strawberry, or

    raspberry filling

Do you mind sharing how we could go about ordering one of these? Do you get to pick out colors/wording at all?

We will be celebrating my nephews birthday and with so many of us going, I think this will be a cheaper/better option than the small round cakes.

    Thanks!

  6. I would try emailing again. I have heard several people on here complaining about the program, but I really think it depends on who gets your email.

I took an NCL cruise way back in 94-95, did not have ANY documents or anything, just the name of the ship, my name and my parents names whom I sailed with. I even have a different last name now!

I sent an email and about 6 weeks later, got a response and they credited me for the cruise.

My mother did the same thing, as she is joining on our cruise next month, and they "could not find her record".

Be persistent and they will credit you!

  7. So I don't have a whole lot of a choice on this matter. I could put cash down and that might be just what I do. We have been strictly cash foe so long it has affected my credit so right now we just have 2 low credit cards.

  8. I know NCL "suggests" a particular amount (I believe $300 pp for a 7 night), but I have a low limit credit card I would like to use for on board purchases. We never spend a whole lot onboard as excursions are pre-paid as well as specialty restaurants, and gratuities. Will the low limit card be okay to use for 2 adults and 1 child in the cabin? The child will NOT have charging privileges. For low limit, I am talking about $400. This is the card I like to use while travelling so I have access to other money while out and about.

    Thanks!

  9. Howdy! I have not cruise NCL for many, many years, but i have been on other lines. Some have sales for their jewlery/gift shops later on during the cruise. Does NCL follow this as well? If so, when would the best time to buy an item?

My family has a little tradition of always buying at least 1 nice watch on our cruise, but we try to get the best deal of course. This would be good to know if they only have a sale the 1st day, we will buy then, or if they have better sales at the end of the cruise, we will wait.

    Thanks in advance!!!

  10. Thanks... I thought it was, too. I've read on other threads here that someone due to call on Cabo on 10/01 aboard a Princess ship has not received word of any change. I'm due there in early December aboard the Star so... I'm watching was NCL is doing at this point...

Looks like it's Mazatlan for Jewel... no Cabo.

What app/site/whatever did you use to get your image? That is cool! I could spend hours looking at it I think!

  11. I have tried searching, but have been unable to find the answer to this. I am sailing in November, in a NON-Suite room. I would like to purchase a couple of bottles of liquor for our cabin, but I am not finding a place to do that online.

Is this something that is possible to do? If so, how do I go about ordering and can anyone tell me approximate prices? I know they will be more expensive than land prices, but I do not want to have to deal with trying to sneak them on board.

    Thanks!!!

  12. We like to go to the auctions to just look at the art and enjoy a few glasses of champagne. There was one time I fell in love with a piece, when we asked about it they said it was $1000, she could go as low as $600, but told us to put an offer on it so it would go up for auction. We put in $250 (not thinking we would get it, just wanted to see how high it got).

No one bid on it during the auction portion (started at $200). A lady came by just after it was over and asked us how much we were really willing to pay for it, expecting us to REALLY Want it. We told her $250 and no more. After some back and forth, she just said "okay, its yours". In that case I think it is worth it. I know the piece is not worth $1000, or even $600, but I like it and enjoy having it in my home.

Long story short, the auction is worth it if you are happy with the piece and the price you pay for it. No one can answer that except you.

  13. I know you can order items off menu (mainly for breakfast from what I understand), but what are your favorites that can be ordered? I am thinking any meal!

I am always interested in off menu items, but just never know what to ask for!!

    Thanks!

  14. This is our first time doing a gty, so I am a little anxious to find out our cabin assignment.

My question is this.... have any of you with experience doing guarantees seem to get an upgrade when cabins are assigned closer to sailing or even day of?

We are 26 days out of sailing and our cabin is still not assigned. I understand it may not be assigned until I get to the pier, just curious to see if others seem to luck out the longer it takes. We have booked a deluxe gty and while I am not banking on it, it would be nice if we got upgraded to a mini suite or even full suite.

Also, do special occasions play any role in cabin assignment? it is our 10 year anniversary and it is noted on our account, just curious.

    Thanks for any info!
