It's been over 10 years since I've been on a cruise and it was out of Galveston. I remember the process of embarkation, going thru security and getting the Sail and Sea cards was a long, drawn out ordeal. This time, I will be using the FTTF with Carnival. What can I or should I expect this time around.?

The questions that I have for anyone are simple...as a cruise ship passenger in May 2021, my itinerary shows Key West as our 1st port. 1) Will Key West still be available or will the cruise lines just drop it from the schedule? I was looking forward to seeing Key West. and 2) If KW is eliminated as a port, would Carnival replace it with another port or just shorten the cruise? Any insights that you may have would be appreciated. Thanks.

The wife and I are scheduled for the Dream on May 01,2021. This is a late celebration of our 20th anniversary from last September.

That makes a lot of sense. I will give it a try. Thanks

Has anyone made payments on the RCI website? I wanted to make a payment, but the only option that I found on the site is to pay the complete balance. Besides calling, is there another way? Also, can I prepay the gratuities while I am at it? This is my first RCI cruise. I have gone the Carnival route several times before and their website is so much more user friendly. Thanks is advance.
Hotel with cruise parking OR strictly cruise parking in Galveston
in Gulf Coast Departures

I am scheduled to cruise with Carnival on May 1st out of Galveston. I've only cruised twice before and both times we stayed at a hotel with cruise parking/ shuttle to pier. I know a lot of you are MUCH more experienced than I, so...do you stay at a hotel with cruise parking or do you stay at a regular (cheaper) hotel and then park at a cruise parking lot? I am trying to save some cash, but I don't really want a lot of hassle either. What are your thoughts, experiences, etc???? Thank you in advance.
