Help. First time going to Calif. Don't know the logistics of getting from LAX to an overnight hotel (in the Long Beach area), hopefully that will offer a shuttle to the port. Any suggestions for transport (no car) and a good neighborhood for hotel. All suggestions will be appreciated.

I know it's early, but would like to plan a cruise in 2017 to Sydney. I live in Florida and would like to cruise from there, if possible. If not, at least from the U.S. Does anyone know which cruise lines offer something like that? Thanks in advance.
