It would be great if Azamara used their small-ship size and longer itineraries to include ports that don't show up on every mega-ship CA/NE cruise!  I'm thinking of these:

There is no port in Tadoussac, just a little ferry.,i do the long road from Sept-îles to Quebec City about ounce a month. But the ship can enter the fjord in Tadoussac and stop at ville de la Baie, this is very scenic

I have heard that Azamara pays a low commission to travel agents. In addition, at the moment bookings are demanding and I guess travel agents don’t want to spend unnecessary time for fixing small thinks.
I hope that will change soon.

They have the same commission as other cruise line. i know i was one for 35 years, retired 15 years ago.  One of my ex coworker is now my travel agent since then. She is specialized in cruises.  She told me that it’s not that bad. Las time (about three weeks ago) she waited 15 minutes.  2 months ago the waiting time was more than two hours and she said she’s doing something else while waiting. Everything is set for our cruise in september

I hope none of the 14 are truly sick with symptoms.  And, if any of those were people with YF waivers that kept them on the ship anyway that would be the total “pits”  —— some were immunocompromised.

Any idea what happens on day 5 if they still test positive?

You can be positive for up to 1 month.  In Canada it was isolation for 5 days followed by 5 days with masks. It’s now change to if you test positive and you feel sick stay home until you better followed with 10 days with masks, if no symptoms or mild symptoms no isolation, but 10 days with mask.  We don’t retest. 85% of the canadian is vaxx

Personally I think bidding is tacky...and surprised Azamara does it..more like NCL..

You don’t have to bid.  What is tacky about bidding.  The rooms are not sold they try to sell it for less that you will have to pay if you had choose that category at the beginning. You take a chance if not you stay in the room you choose to book at the beginning.

Do you need to receive an email re bids before you can bid?  Is there any other way to be able to bid?  And lastly when does bidding begin for each cruise - 2 months out, 3 months out, a year out?????

Thanks in advance for any information

I receive my invitation by e.mail exactly 3 months before

We were on the NCL Gem last month.  Our port time was 1:30pm to 10pm.  Sunset was around 7pm so pax could enjoy the sunset from the ship, cable car, or from the cliff.  Unfortunately it was very cloudy so there was just a brief sliver of color for a few minutes.  There was a Costa ship that left around 9pm and another small ship that stayed until 2am, Crystal something I think.

You'll need to check the Port of Santorini to find port times for whichever ships are in port on whichever days you're interested in.  And check the sunset times since they vary widely from May to Sept.

We just booked with Azamara (small ship)and will be leaving at 21:00. Will be cruising sept 2023

I tried to check if our cruise was eligible for an upgrade on the Azamara website but it didn't work.  The "Please wait.."  message appears but it never finishes.

Has anyone else tried it recently? Is it just me?

I emailed AzamaraUpgrade@Azamara.com twice over the last ten days but I never got an answer.

When is your sailing?  It was the same for me and about 90 days before we are sailing, bang it appears.  So maybe you are to early

  9. I can’t answer the poll as not one of the answers is good for me. i’m in the middle. I would prefer if we can board around noon, not because i paid for those hours lol. It’s because we arrive the day before, hotel check out are at 10 ish. When you are in airport hotels there is not a lot from 10 to 13. I don’t complain and understand but will prefer check in at noon

  10. I did try that, and it says or the bid is not started yet, or there is none on that cruise, wich seems odds.  On every cruise with Azamara we were able to bid.  It’s a mystery.  That’s why I asked if someone on the Onward jan 05 cruise already can bid, it might be a glitch, I don’t know
