  1. I just ordered a 6 pk of coke and a 12 pk of bottled water, the grand total with tax was $17.01. It will be delivered to my cabin. I always ask the cabin steward to bring ice and ice bucket on the first day and have never been without ice on any cruise. This lasts us pretty much all week! Just an idea.

  2. We just booked our airfare from Detroit to Seattle leaving Tues. Sept 4 and returning Fri Sept 14, round trip for our cruise next year. Our total cost per person was $414.00, on Delta, non-stop. I was happy with that price. Once you find a price you are happy with, go for it! I don't look back! I think you are looking at a fair price.

  3. Very rough for us in early March! I would not get a cabin anywhere near the front of the ship! It was so rough and waves were crashing the first 3 nights of the cruise and the last night returning to Port Canaveral. Took Bonine every day and night!

  4. We were on the Magic 3 weeks ago and I have to say we loved the Main Dining Room and the food. You and your teens could also order off of the Kids Menu if they don't see something they would want to order. The servers were more than happy to make sure that we were happy, too!

  5. We loved Roddy. We just got off the Magic last week. We always looked for him, usually at the Play It Again Piano Bar! He also took part in one of the shows in the Showtime Theater! Some nights he had a great following and others, not so much. The line for the Comedy club was in the area of the Piano Bar, so there were often people who would stop by to listen for a moment! I don't think you will be disappointed!

  6. No one should ever book this! It is a 4J, obstructed view. The view would have been great, if you could be out on the deck. You have to go through the door in the hallway, to get outside....which would have been fine, if it been unlocked. We usually had to ask to have it unlocked. Once you did make your way out there, it was so windy, you could hardly stand up!...We did have windows, but you had to keep the curtains closed at night. There is no sofa or chair in this cabin. The worst part about this room was the loud explosion type noises that we experienced 3 nights of our cruise. We reported it to Guest Services, they came to "experience" it themselves, and we were offered a $50.00 onboard credit...Really? No sleep for 3 nights, and we literally had to hang on to the bed due to the cabin shaking! Oh, and we were told by management there are 100 cabins on this ship and in 3 other ships in this class that experience the same noise and shaking. Never again!

  7. Honestly, The Magic is my least favorite ship. Please read my review under ship reviews. This ship has a problem with a terrible sewage smell. Hope you can get by that! Be careful in what cabin you choose, ours was horrible! I found the servers on the Lido were always cleaning up around the ice cream machine so, no complaints there! We have no complaints about the food, other than on the Lido...very hard to find seats. We enjoyed the Piano Man in the Play It Again lounge. We liked the shows except for laser lights and being loud. Make the most of your cruise and have fun. That's what vacations are for!

  8. Hate to say it, but the Magic stinks! We just got off the Magic on March 4th and we noticed the sewage smell everywhere we went on the ship! I am a seasoned cruiser and have not had the displeasure of this odor on any other ship. I just posted my review. It should be on the Cruise Reviews Board, soon.

  9. I googled this topic and found a list of free things to do. We had been to Key West several times but this list gave us some fun things to see. We did take the bus around the loop to find the Souternmost point, the Episcopal Church which is worth the visit, and the oldest house. Lots to see and do....have fun!
