Nobody likes the truth unless it fits their definition of it.

Discussion of COVID and how it is handled is central to these boards - if COVID had been handled properly we might be actually cruising, if not now then in the near future.

In reality that is not the case and it is almost pointless discussing cruising at this point. What is there to say about it that is actually meaningful? We are all just guessing.

You will find people that say they have done it  but  in the "NEW"  World  of travel will all the checks going through security etc  will it even be possible in the future

Personally  I  would not book it

    YMMV

Thanks LHT28 I just booked a 1:30 flight instead that should give us plenty of time.We can always go to the delta club. Thanks for your quick replay.Have you ever been on Riviera and if so stayed on deck 10 in a PH3 We're in 10021 and wonder if that is too far forward?

  3. having never have been on Oceania how long does it normally take to get off the Riveria and get to the Miami airport? What would be the earliest flight you would get? It says the debarking starts at 8am. Is that normally accurate? Thanks for your help.

We are on the 111-13 20 Caribbean cruise.

Quartetman, This is so funny. DH is NOT a Big Tiger Fan. That’s just me. He’ll be watching your games also. If we make this cruise we’ll have to meet for a drink so y’all can commiserate about your Gamecocks. 😁🐅🐅🐅

I pull for the  the tigers if they're not playing Carolina.I don't hate them because they're our rivels.Half of my friends are Tiger fans.I'm really looking forward to this cruise. We normally sail Holland America or Royal Caribbean so this will be a real treat. We do love our food and wine.Would love to meet you for a drink We're looking at air out of Columbia and it's awful so I thing we'll fly out of Charlotte.

We are currently booked in the Riviera in November, RT Miami. We’ve been using AAA lately which is why DH surprised me when he made the booking. It’s a short 10 day cruise which he did because I’ve been grumpy about our 3 canceled Princess Cruises.

We have a few days to make some changes. He did not take air option as they did not offer the airport we use and we refuse to drive to Atlanta. He did take the Miami hotel which will be dropped as price is ridiculous. We can beat it on our own.
Will have to do the Google search recommended to see what I can find.
    Thanks again for info.

Welcome Tiger fans we're Gamecock fans and will be on the 11-13 cruise. This will be our first cruise on Oceania so we're really excited.Hope we meet you guys.

I went head and book a Cabana on the NA for our 7 day caribbean cruise that leaves on the 29th.  Wondering if these are nice and worth the money.  Anyone have any experience with renting these for their cruise.  How was it.  How was the service.  Do you feel it was worth the money.  I ended up getting the last one available so I guess they are popular.  Looking forward to getting some feedback on this.

Did you get the retreat Cabana or the Lido Cabana?

  7. Just off the Eurodam Oct 25, to my liking I found the Peking Duck appetizer delicious as was the rest of the food we ordered

Do you happen to have the menus for the main DR? Do they still have prime rib on the

first night? We leave this Sunday on the Eurodam.

    Rick

  8. I'm on the eurodam now. I tried the lobster dish. It's ok but I found it to be a bit salty and chewy. I love my salt so if I say it's salty you can bet it is. I'm on for 2 weeks. Before I get off I will try to get a copy of the menu.

Do you have a copy of the first night menu in the MDR. Thanks

  9. Good morning, friends-

I am noting a sad trend today on the HAL boards. Lots and lots of snapping...

I love the cruise boards and have learned so much from all of you. Even though, I have not met many of you face to face, I really respect all that each of you contributes to our cruising community.

However, today I am a bit confused by the abundance of "keyboard courage".

Can we all play nice and go back to sharing information and helpful hints on one of my favorite topics: cruising???

    Thank you, friends-

    Tracie-Lynn:)

I always try and treat folks like I would like to be treated. Just my thoughts.

  10. well, which is it? Are diners prohibited from bringing in personal wines, or can they, with the payment of a corkage fee?

Your statements on this issue are remarkably uninformed. Do you ever use open table to book reservations? The information page for each restaurant will either say "personal wines welcome, (corkage fee applies)" or be silent on the subject. If it says the former, you can bring your own wine. If it is silent, you cannot. And many, many restaurants in ny/nj indicate the former. Even the ones with licenses. And to further your education on the subject, here is a website to get you started. http://www.gobyo.com/index.php and yes, the four seasons allows you to bring your own wine even if you do not have a wine locker there. So does aureole; marea; per se; jean georges; grammercy tavern, eleven madison park, and on and on and on. And these restaurants have some of the finest wine lists in city.

    well said !!!!
