Glad you enjoyed the cruise. People who kick up a stink and take it out on the crew should be made to walk the plank!

Host Andy! you do a great job and don't pay attention and don't let them make you feel bad, comments from people who have never experienced Azamara and they are rude and don't know how to behave are worthless. Every day I have been following your posts and I can't imagine how much have you worked, so just feel WONDERFUL you are a very nice guy and never mind ugly people and their awful posts.

You made and make a lot of us very happy and willing to be as soon as possible onboard Journey

I have read more CC boards/threads I could not even remember how many! This one unfortunately turned out into a gripe session for those not even onboard.

Thank you for your information which is what this is about.

Loved reading about your meals and ship activities.

You do so much for the CC community, your thread during the refurbishment and your Live from Azamara Journey etc. and all are much appreciated.

I find certain posts of so many to be off point and hope you take comments in stride.

Azamara is a quality product; we were fortunate to sail on Quest and now Journey in March.

In my cruise history, no line would offer what Azamara has done in compensation. I know they did their best.

Anyone sailing immediate post refurbishment must expect the unexpected.

Enough! Enjoy and keep on letting us know what is happening on your cruise and thank you again.

I've been using this method for a number of years now and find it really does work. Feels unnatural at first packing like this, but the clothes I take are pretty much wrinkle free when I arrive.. If I have a shirt with a crease in it somewhere I wet the area that's creased and dry it with the hairdryer. Can you tell I try and avoid that laundry room at all costs? Lol

Just wanted to say that I feel that Azamara's offer is extremely generous. Of course, perhaps we were luckier than others, in that our cruise has been near perfect... but I still think that everything considered, it's an extremely generous offer.

 

Kudos to Larry Pimentel, and his Management team for this consideration, and, for once again showing how much they care about their Guest onboard experience.

and that's why we love Azamara!!! :)

what I don't get is the people that are complaining are those who have never been at Azamara, maybe they are just doing it for some weird purpose? But they are kind of annoying and I think that the guests on board right now are old enough to complain and it is rude to write things like PAM or the other guy that started complaining and mysteriously enough has disappeared from the thread (Thank God) if they don't like how Host Andy is having fun an telling what is happening just stop reading and posting Pam and mcomd508, and by the way kaz sounds very happy right now

Some additional info from Johannes, for those interested in the scale of the undertaking:

 

- 14 day project

- 4,000+ line tasks are being managed in order to monitor project progress

- 11,000 person-hours work per day average, not including the input of the crew of 521 onboard

I have done it many times and with Azamara twice, I just love it! If you can be with yourself alone you can do anything! You can or can not meet people it depends of what you want, And I love that Azamara has great opportunities for solo travelers
