We just finished the island and beach tour with Rose yesterday. Had a great time. Our group was 4 people, one using a wheelchair, and there 5 others. The van easily handled all of us, and she uses a microphone to describe what we were seeing around the island. After the island tour part, we came back to the port where the other 5 got off, then she took us to Cockleshell beach (sp?) where we spent 2 hours before deciding to come back to the ship.

Definitely recommend them for tours regardless of age!

Interesting decision by Carnival for the Valor to make its stop at San Juan with the majority of businesses without power. We walked over to Walgreens for something and people were standing inside there for the air conditioning. Tour operators were offering 1 hour city tours for $10.

My wife and I hadn't planned on doing anything in San Juan this year so it didn't effect us but I do wonder about those who hadn't been here before.

We got off yesterday. Had a wonderful time but was disappointed with the overall service...anytime dining, had no wait at 6:00 but seemed as though they were shorthanded on servers...dinners lasted much longer than we were used to with Carnival. We were unlucky with our cabin steward but others traveling with us had a great one that talked with us every time we headed to their cabin to meet up. Burger bar and Burrito bar was very good! As I said though, we had a tremendous time - not going to let a few things ruin a good week at sea!

Used Victor Bodden in Roatan and Nativway in Grand Cayman...fantastic as usual. Paradise Beach at Cozumel is still great and we didn't get off the ship in Belize.
