    Thanks for the info-

I doubt if they let adults play with the Easter Bunny...BUT I have yet to act like one, so I may get a picture, and i will take notes.  Nice to know there will be a special menu.

I bought some jelly beans and some plastic eggs to put them in, so that I can give some to the wait staff and my cabin steward.

    that's a great idea!

We will be sailing on Miracle April 21st which is of course Easter.

We have never sailed during Easter. We leave on the 21st. Will there be any activities for the whole week? Or just on the day we sail?

Thanks we live "local" about 2 hours away. So "if" we have any last minutes things to get we can do it before leaving home. But something to keep in mind for sure.

I'm sailing with you and am counting the days! Since you are local, do you think liquor stores will be open?  I like to get a bottle of wine to bring on board.

Hi Ethel, yes, there has been a blow dryer in every carnival cabin we've been in.  They are in a drawer by the big mirror in the room and the cord isn't very long and a lot of folks seem to think they are under-powered but they get the job done even if it takes a little longer.  At least, they do well enough that I'll be content with it rather than pack another blow dryer. One less thing for me to forget lol.

thank you!   absolutely more room for shoes!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed out Miracle cruise last April.  Ship was easy to get around and I liked the food.  Ours was an 8-day with only three ports so lots of nice sea-day brunches in the MDR.  We did our first ever Chef's Table and the steak house on Miracle was the coolest one I've seen yet (still haven't been on any of the really new ships yet).

We had a balcony near the back and it was a great location to get straight down to MDR or straight up for some late night pizza.  Quiet room, and the AC worked great (I like to sleep as cool as I can).  Service was great from everyone we encountered and I wouldn't hesitate to cruise on her again but I think she'll be heading west before I get another chance.  Maybe some day we'll get to go to Alaska on her.

I thought I would miss Guy's but the burgers at the grill were great and I ate way more fried flour tortillas with cheese sauce than I should have.

If this post seems a little heavily food-oriented, well, yeah.  lol.  But we had some good drinks too!

can you tell me if there were blow dryers in the room???  I've looked everywhere but can't find an answer!

    thanks.

  5. I just went to my cruise and I do see the OBC ... and here is my story. I travel solo and pay for 2. I questioned Carnival whether I would get double the OBC since I pay for 2 travelers. I was told no. My OBC is $40.84 ... did they give me double and take out taxes or something ???

  6. I like that Tervis Carnival coffee cup!!! Use it often!! Wonder if we will get those coasters in April? LOL!!!!

Well look who it is!!! How are you? When are you cruising in April??? I'm sailing this Saturday on the Paradise and think often how fun it would be if you, Summer, JT and Sara would be on with me! and of course that "gold" guy!!!

  7. The port is in Channelside which is basically downtown. You could get coffee somewhere down there (Starbucks, Ginger Beard, and Victory Coffee come to mind) or take the streetcar that runs through there to Ybor (the historic district). There are a lot of Cuban coffee/cigar places down there. You could also take a walk on the Riverwalk which is near the port, but you might want to give your bags to a porter first if possible.

I went to Ybor in January ... what a cute town!!! If you go there, hit Tampa Brewing Company ... yum!!

  8. It's been 10 years since we have cruised. On a 5 day aboard the Paradise soon.

We have a early morning flight arriving in Tampa at 7:30 the day of our cruise. What can we do so early in Tampa with no car toting suitcases? Planning to Uber from airport to publix near the port for soft drinks. How soon can we get IN the port? Traveling in a suite so we have VIP check in.

    Any thoughts are appreciated

Thanks for this question! I'm sailing on the Paradise on 4/15 ... any chance that's your date? I arrive around 9 a.m. that morning and was planning on a cab to the port but was told to try Uber. I've never done Uber so I'm a little hesitant.

  9. My first was with 3 friends and we shared a room. When open, the cot was half under the vanity! We had about 150 pair of shoes between the 4 of us. There was no Cruise Critic so we stumbled our way through each port. Back then they had the mints on your pillow when you came back to the room. My one friend woke up many mornings with that mint melted into her cheek!!! That was the start of my addiction :D

  10. I just returned from the Paradise.

The first sea day offered the Caribbean themed lunch buffet.

I made a salad at the salad bar and then topped it with Jerk Chicken from the buffet. They also had plantains and vegetable fritters. This was one amazing salad !!

how was your cruise on the Paradise? I'm sailing on April 15th and am dying to hear good things!!!

  11. It was raining once when we cruised and yes our stuff got wet. Some more than others in my group. We had to lay our clothes out all over our room to let them dry off. If you're worried about your stuff getting wet maybe put it all in a trash bag then in your suitcase. That way it stays dry AND you have a big laundry bag for your dirty clothes [emoji6]

    what a great idea!!
