Hi, former airline employee here... as long as the name is correct, it's not an issue if it's run together in the first name 'space' and not spaced out first, middle, last. as long as the name(s) on the documents match.
example: if the passport is issued in the name of Robin Rae Williams, and the resv reads Robinrae williams, it will be ok. it's if the name(s) don't match that will raise an issue. Example: Legal name is Roberta Rae Williams, but nickname is Robin, and booking was made under Robin instead of Roberta, that's not going to work.
hope this helps

earlier this morning USA Today was reporting that it was a cholera outbreak...now it's all changed to gastrointestinal illness. Either somebody was quick to print, or sombodies are trying to change the story. just do a search for norwegian ship with cholera.

My memory isn't so good about last week, but I can remember all the way back to a family vacation to Nebraska when I was two years old. I have memories that might be earlier, but I can't put a time stamp on them like I can the Nebraska vacation. My mom always says, to this day, that my brother and I were the most well-behaved children. She points out when I was 5 and my brother was 8 and my parents were buying a car and it took the better part of two days. My brother and I just sat there, patiently, watching TV in the car dealership while our parents handled the deal. They did have ice cream in those little plastic containers with wooden spoons, so we were able to eat a few of those. I remember being bored silly, but we knew better than to do anything but sit there and be quiet.
and to this day, we can remember the taste of those wooden spoons, but not the ice cream. LOL

Just curious, as to how often is this stop missed due to conditions not allowing tendering. We visited there last year the first week of NOV and had no issues, but this year we're sched to be there in May.
What has been your experience? TIA

jmo, but that seems like a really expensive ride to Barbados. wouldn't airline be cheaper, not to mention faster. lol

We often do just that, stay by the airport as it's less expensive and has shuttles from the airport to the hotel. We use Seattle Express to get to and from the ship. Have always had excellent service from them, including the time we didn't have our transfer from the ship to the airport prebooked, they took us as a walkup without batting an eye.

POM, and MIA are the reason that we always stay an extra day at our disembarcation ports. That airport is an absolute ZOO on ship days. The people coming IN and the people going out. If you don't make it off early, make sure you have lots of patience with you.

Of course unless you are not going into a Canadian port. This worried me until I found out that ArriveCan was for entry into Canada. We dont go there 😉 so we dont need to do this.
the ship stops in Canada, whether you get off or not, you still need the ArriveCan filled out in order to board the ship in Seattle. (We went to Alaska in May,)

Try Mt.Dew, I know it's great in bourbon and I would think it would be good in rum also

too funny, Did you know??? That Mt. Dew was originally made to be the mixer for 'moonshine' ? hence the name.....

Juneau is fogged in this morning. Jumped on the webcam to see the Bliss arrive, and nothing but grey. Hope the day clears up for them, that ride up the tram is going to be straight up spooky, but could be clear at the summit...

I thought originally this was supposed to be free. Unless they drastically improved it I am not sure its worth $50/person.
We did the Zip Line and that is cool but I would rather ride the Mt Roberts Tram if I am choosing and that is slightly less.
I believe the gondola that goes from the 'wilderness' pier to the adventure center/landing is free, to get passengers from their ship to the main port area. The gondola UP, to the top of the mountain is the one they are charging for, much like the Mt. Roberts tram. we're going to be there in May, I can't wait to ride both.

Princess does 'anytime' dining, and as long as you don't arrive right when the doors open, your wait should be minimal.
The pools have never seemed very crowded when I've been to Alaska, but we go very early or very late in the season, and the weather is on the cooler side. And there is so much to see while sailing, it's not at all like the carribbean.
Tracy's Crab Shack, in Juneau seems to be everyone's favorite for King Crab. I find the salmon and halibut much better, everywhere we've tried. Just be aware that king crab season is Oct-Jan, and any legs you get are from frozen, not 'fresh' But that doesnt take away from their goodness.

that's hurricane force winds 70kts =80.5mph. Anything over 64 knots is hurricane and force 12 on the beaufort scale. thats craziness. I've been in Force 10 winds, and 8 meter seas, on an NCL ship on the west side of Vancouver Island, heading to Seattle, wouldn't want to be in anything higher. hope things calm down for you.

Is the next cruise headed for Miami via Panama Canal still a go? Any news Julie3Fan onboard? Will add that disembarking on Jan 16th, was super fast, we carried off our luggage, although we had passports in hand, never showed them, it was the facial recognition scan, took 10 seconds and then exited. Took a cab to LAX, did not notice the cab driver was not masked up util about 10 minutes into drive, urggh, not happy about that, but wasn't about to be asked to be dropped off on freeway! all still good with us
yes the PC run is still a GO. i leave in the morning...board the ship fri. cant wait

Agree I do not like Miami airport. I am seriously considering getting a hotel and flying out the next morning to avoid the crowds and nothing to do.
thats what we always do, especially in cities where there are multiple ships disgorging passengers to the airport. lol a lot less stressful

if you're not comfortable with that many sea days you should absolutely cancel. no need to head into a vacay dreading it.
personally, I love sea days, having nothing to do and all day to do it. in our society today it always seems to be GO Go go, especially with being 'connected' almost 24 hrs a day, having large chunks of unconnected quiet time is a balm to the soul. we've forgotten how to just BE ... and should look for opportunities to unplug and just breathe

Just got back from Princess’ return to sailing cruise. Yes, the local businesses at the ports are really grateful for our return! I did an unusual excursion, owned and operated by a family on Ketchikan - snorkeling!! Thick wetsuits - stayed warm , and I don’t like cold water! Very cool sea life, a great time!! So, if you are in reasonable shape, look them up by searching “snorkel Alaska” and they will pick you up at the port! Regardless, support Alaskan businesses!!
thats an excursion I always think about doing. I opted for the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary this time though. Beautiful walk through the forest. Maybe next time, I'll snorkel

Question….How soon prior to your cruise we’re you able to pick your boarding group time? I’ve seen various answers so I’m curious what happened with you.
Thanks!
Tom😀
Morning Tom, we didn't book this till late July, and I think it was a week later that I got the app loaded and working, so... 3 weeks out, maybe.
