Thank you all. A lot to think about. At this point I think we'll stay out a ways and drive in in the morning.
138 east we are driving from Nashua, NH. I think the route you gave us sounds good. Although now my travelling companion is suggesting we make a stop in White Plains to visit a relative. I'll have to think about this possibility and perhaps stay overnight there.

We have no loyalty to any hotels so I'd say in the $150 range is good.

We will be staying overnight on May 22. 2 people 2 beds. No budget but what we don't spend on parking and lodging we can spend on the cruise..I just thought staying outside Newark may be more pleasant and we don't mind driving the rest of the way to the port in the morning.

Thank you both for the help. We'll park at the pier and look for one of the other hotels. Or perhaps stay about an hour out and drive in the morning of the cruise.

Taking Anthem of the Seas next month and it's our first time out of NJ. We will be driving to the port from NH. Trying to decide if we should park at the port or if the car can be left at the Best Western Plus (stay and cruise plan). If we leave it at the Hotel It'll only save us about $200. I'd rather have my car back safe and sound. Any thoughts??

Just an FYI was booked for transportation from port to MCO on Sunday with Cruise Control Transport but got a phone call that morning that there van had tire trouble so they booked us with GoPortCanaveral. we were not pleased to be put on a bus with 75 other people. I guess they only have 1 van so I won't be using them we should have booked with Cortrans they had plenty of smaller shuttle vans and buses.
Parking car while cruising.

Thanks 138east for all the info. I'm sure we'll do fine, we always do no matter where we cruise from or to...
