  1. Yes Azamara are a great cruise line. Their cabin steward Anwar is superb, as he accompanied me and my husband to hospital in Sri Lanka in November last (2016).

However I have yet to receive a reply to my e mails. I have been referred to this one and that one but still no reply. The port agent in Sri Lanka was crap. Anwar from the ship was great but had to leave after 2 days to re join the ship on its way to Singapore.

No one informed me my visa was for 2 days. ( my husband was in intensive care), and when we were going home I got a huge fine, which, if I ever return to Sri Lanka I and hubby must pay.

Why are E mails ignored or passed on like a party game. I am very dissapointed.

  2. When we went to St Petersberg we booked on line with Alla Tours. Beautiful air conditioned bus no waiting at any venue just walked through 2 days with lunches . one cold \( a choice and 1 in a restaurant saw everything we wanted to and less than the cruise ship price for 1 tour!!. paid by credit card in roubles best bet by far as the " money man" gets on the bus on the 2nd day and wants "pristine dollars or credit card peanuts compared to dollars . Thoroughly enjoyed it and Julie ( University Graduate) spoke better English than me!!!

  3. We have cruised before and if the satellite is "working" you get the football. I f not you get films or the news that is reported ad infernitum bySky or bbc world service. It is normally good on Olsen ships at Christmas and New Year, Plenty of laughs and "free Booze at Christmas and New Year. It is a Happy Ship and we hope it has not changed as we are on it for the full 43 days.

  4. We used them. a couple of years ago with RCCL they were fantastic. When we arrived at a church which was being used, the hostess changed the itinery and we went by hydrofoil to the palace and bus back. We did not pay until the 2md day. We paid in Roubles by card and let the bank sort it out!!! We could not be bothered with pristine dollars. We never queued for entrance to anywhere. We left the coach parties standing in the queue and went on in. Even in the Amber museum we went in the back door !!!. Altogether a fraction of the price of the ships tours. We toured with 4 uk people (miserable) 2 Chinese American people and 2 Americans from Texas. We had a great time and I was the first off the ship and greeted with a smile and the rep was 20 feet away with the sign saying our name. Altogether WONDERFUL/

  5. Hi we are going with the Quest to Singapore Bangkok the Indonesia ending up in Bali.

We are uk born with UK passports would we need to get visas before we go on the cruise . Thanks for your help in advance.

  6. We have been in all sorts of cabins on various cruise ships, including Cunard Costa and Princess. We find the inside cabins on both Costa and Princess are more than fine. We leave the web cam on on mute. We are then convenient for leaving the ship, without waiting for lifts etc and normally would have room service continental breakfast as I am NOT a " morning person" and cannot face the scrum of the self service, that early in the day. This enables us to have more cruises than we could have had if we always had a balcony.:)
