  1. I have severe IBD and have been on Humira for several years.. It's MY responsibilty to take precautions in regards to my somewhat compromised immune system..

Years ago, the health questionnaire asked if anyone had diarrhea instead of if anyone had developed diarrhea.. I answered truthfully and got pulled to the side. The Carnival rep. who started asking more health questions was clueless about Crohns/Ulcerative Collitis.. It was a stressful 10 minutes.. But it all worked out..

  2. From the Health Questionnaire:

    2) Do you, or any person listed above, have a Fever or Feverishness PLUS any ONE of the following additional symptoms: Cough, Runny Nose or Sore Throat? Yes* No

(* If you answer “YES”, you will be assessed, free of charge, by a member of the shipboard Medical Staff. You will be allowed to travel, unless you are suspected to have an illness of international public health concern.)

  3. You can't beat the value of a Carnival cruise. When we get the itch to cruise, we check Carnival first. But we decided to try something different and did a Christmas cruise on RC's Adventure of the Seas. Gotta say we were impressed. Entertainment was great. Smoke-free dance clubs=AWSOME! The "Brass...bigwigs" were continuously seen... The play a mean game of pool volleyball.. We like Carnival's food over RCCL and NCL. We like having laundry facilities.. We are Carnival fans but RC's got a few things going for it.. Price isn't one of them.. 72 Days Till We Board The Carnival Dream.

  4. Got an offer in our regular mail yesterday.. Tossed it.. Thought about it. Logged into Carnivals website and the VIFP offer was there. Four cruises with Carnival.. Two balconies.. Two interiors.. Never booked an excursion through Carnival.. Never spent more than $50 in the casino. Our biggest expense has always been photos.. So I have NO CLUE as to the VIFP offer perimeters.. But a 10 day cruise for 2 for less than $400-SWEET!!!

  5. Six cruises and I've never seen a DVD/Tv combo in any of the fitness centers. An option would be a portable DVD player. Most classes have a charge, but I have taken part in a few free yoga and ab classes. I haven't seen any boot camp style classes listed. I'm a gym rat so when I cruise I know I'm going to have to do some modifications. You will find some good equipment, just don't look for 100 lbs dumbbells or a squat rack. One thing I've noticed on my 6 cruises... There's always a few people who decide to work out for the first time in their entire lives while on vacation. Fun to watch the creative things they can do with dumbbells.

  6. We rented a car in Freeport and Nassau.. Freeport doesn't get much love, but we really enjoyed it. The Freeport car rental place warned us about the slow pace of the island, but it was just what we were looking for. We cruised out to Lacayan National Park, saw some wild life and had a huge stretch of beach to ourselves for almost 2 hours. Afterwards we drove over to Bishops for some conch.. Also came across some old NASA buildings from decades ago. Probably two of the best ports for cruisers renting a car for the first time. Flat island....unlike driving in St.Lucia.
