It's a Saturday.  Barcelona is a major city and the traffic is not much less on a Saturday.  Plus political demonstrations and sporting events usually happen on Saturday.  Not to mention the usual construction, accidents, etc.

Good thing you managed to rebook!

That is wishful thinking.  You are cutting it very thin.  The question is:  What is RC going to do for you if you miss the flight?  Will they rebook you?  Put you up at a hotel?  Leave you stranded at the airport?

Mine is at 11:15 booked through Oceania so if we miss it it will be up to them to get us on another flight.

  2. We booked and paid for everything in mid January for a May cruise in Europe. We got our flight schedule Feb. 2nd. We were able to change them up a little and we're very happy with them now. They are with United leaving out of IAH.

We have an upcoming cruise in May and purchased OLife without the air.  But in case of an unforeseen cancellation, we're thinking that we'd get a refund if we book the air thru Oceania and they cancel.    I'm wondering if we have no choice of flights thru them or we can choose and they'll book them.  I booked thru a TA who is off work a few days and Oceania tells me to go thru her.  So - wondered if anyone has actual experience booking O's air.....thanks everyone for any help!!

Our cruise is also in May. 12 day aristocrats Rome to Barcelona. This is our first time on Oceania and the first time since the pandemic. Our last one through Oceania which would have been our first with them was cancelled. We booked everything through Oceania. I know we could have gotten it on our own for less which is what we have always done in the past with other cruise lines but we did not want to have to worry about multiple changes with flights and transfers. I'll just be thankful if we get to go.

As mentioned already it can be accepted at any point up to 3 days before you’re cruise,

personally i I got the email a couple of weeks ago and made a bid slightly above the minimum, I got the email today saying I was successful and had been upgraded from an inside to a veranda, our cruise is in 18 days time so I guess it really can be at anytime,

Thanks for letting me know. We still haven't heard anything yet. Our cruise isn't until March 22nd so I'm still hoping we might have a shot at it. Apparently nobody has out bid us yet.

  5. I reopen an old topic, the other answers are interesting, but I missed one information:

What about Sushi at 5 for lunch, is it also free? Which limit? It is 35$ on evening, right?

I don't think there is any up charge. At least not when we went last year.

We wish we had eaten there more. We waited until the last day.:(

  6. Our lunch was also in Blu and the entrée was a wild mushroom/pasta dish courtesy of the Staff Captain. It was one of the best pasta dishes I have had. He sent everyone the recipe but I have not made it yet.

I make that pasta dish at least once a month. Raphael gave me the recipe and he even made it

for us one night in Luminae. At least that's what our waitress told us. This was on the Silhouette

last year. Of course none of the ingredients had the amount so I just improvised. Best cruise ever!

    Best friends made including writerjoe.

  7. Thanks so much. Out of curiosity, did your concierge on either cruise set up any special ship tours or a private lunch with officers for RS & PH suite guests? I'm wondering if that is something our last concierge did on his own or if it is becoming a new standard.

That was the most awesome meal we had on the entire cruise. I couldn't believe every top officer including

the captain was there. It would be hard to top that but that was only my 3rd cruise on Celebrity. We have done

many Royal Caribbean cruises and stayed in suites and never had such an experience with them. I hope it

happens again for you and Joe.

  8. Our first ever cruise was in an RS on Silhouette for a 9-night Mediterranean last September. We were VERY happy with the suite and the level of service. I booked our second cruise as an 11-night Ultimate Caribbean this coming January on Reflection, however, there was only SS and CS available. I booked the last CS with the hope that an RS would eventually open up. Well, the penthouse become available, so I booked it. This is definitely more cabin than we need for the two of us. Has anyone sailed in both RS and PS? We can still wait and see if an RS becomes available and downgrade before final payment is due. Are there other un-advertised perks of PS over the RS?

Hey Joe, it's Carol from our last cruise. I'm pretty sure all the perks are the same. We saw Sharon's penthouse

suite. It was HUGE. The balcony was a lot larger but the hot tub is the same bath tub size. There could

be some other perks I'm not aware of though. Enjoy!!! Let me know how it was after you sail.:)

  9. New to Celebrity question: does unlimited mean free with no upcharge? We're in a Royal Suite

Yes it does. It's a wonderful perk. You'll love the royal suite. So much space. A large bathroom with

separate shower and tub and a half bath. Really spoils you. You also get free laundry and dry-cleaning.

At least we did last year.

  10. That's what we try to avoid. We were once under the fitness center on a Disney Ship and it was very very loud. I would prefer cabins above as you said so I guess we should refuse the upgrade from A2 to A1 and stick with an aft cabin on deck 11.

We had 1603 on the Silhouette under the pool deck and never heard a thing.

  11. They are usually not that busy at least not on our last cruise on the Silhouette. This was last year in September.

We just walked in all three times we ate there. It was so good we ate there three times on a 9 night cruise. I'm sure you could get a deal. It was our favorite restaurant on the ship.
