Your son will need to call Carnival and add a PIN # to his reservation. He will need to identify his Booking #, ship, saildate, and who is on the booking and possibly their birthdates. Then he gives them a PIN # of his choice (4 digit), it's a security thing. Then he can give the Booking # and the PIN # to the TA and they can call and link the bookings. Every time your son calls Carnival for anything booking related, he needs that PIN#.

I can't imagine having a "happy" time in such a short time frame.

I think the price for waitlist, is only a place marker price. Since there are no cabins available, there is no pricing. Once you clear the waitlist, the price should change to an actual rate and you can choose to accept it or cancel and get your deposit back. That's the info I was given.

Definatly book that Spa cabin!! Both our sailings on the Breeze we started off with a balcony on deck 8, and both times upgraded to a Spa cabin. So worth it..The quietness of the spa deck is just fabulous! Going on the Sunshine in 54 more days, once again, started on deck 8, then seen prices were real good for a Spa Balcony, sooooooo booked it again.! This time my almost 15 yo DD is excited cause she'll be able to check it out , with me of course!! Book it I say!
Just an FYI, I don't think anyone under 18 is allowed to use the Cloud 9 Spa.

Family members were on their first cruise and to save money, they rented a car and went exploring on their own. They were driving in a foreign country and someone hit their car--fender bender... It was a mess to deal with the police and the rental car company and due to the extra time, they almost missed the ship. My sister said it was not worth the hassle, and if they ever go again, they will take a ship sponsored tour.

The "rule" recently changed. If checking in together and 2 people are over 21, you can now bring 1 box, 1500 ml.

There is a special spa for teens, called ZSPA. I don't know if you can make those appointments ahead of time.
